Chapter 36: Diamonds Favorite?

I hugged Midas even tighter and he hugged me tighter. We stood there hugging until there was a knock on the door. I pulled away from Midas and he pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe away his tears. I walked to the door and opened it to see the girls.

"Can we play with Diamond?" Skye asked.
"Sure, she is in here somehwere" I said looking around.

We all looked around and finally found her in a box. The girls took her to the lounge room with them as I walked over to Midas.

"Do you need any help with anything?" I asked.
"Just stay here with me, I love having you here with me" he responded trying to sound innocent.

I sat down across from him as he sat down. He started working as I texted the girls to check on Diamond. They replied and said she was doing fine.

Midas and I began talking about where we wanted to have the wedding and the colors of the wedding. We decided  the men wpuld wear gold and white while the women would wear rose gold and white. We thought about having the wedding at an island near the Shark and we also talked about having it at Holly Hedges. We also wanted to wait a few months before having the wedding.

Once Midas finished working it was almost lunch. He never finished that quickly so when he said he was done I was shocked.

"Love, where would you like to go for lunch?" Midas asked.
"How about Sticks?"
"Then that's where we will go" Midas replied walking over to me with his arm out.

I stood up and he put his arm around my waist. We walked outside to the boat and hopped in. He drove while I stood behind him.

"Hold on, darling" Midas said right before boosting.

I slipped a little, but I caught myself so nothing bad happened.

We arrived at Sticks and sat down. Our waiter handed us menus and asked for our drinks. We both ordered tea and the waiter left to the kitchen. He came back about 5 minutes later with our drinks. We ordered our food and he rushed off to the kitchen again.

I looked up at Midas to see him looking around alerted.

"Midas, is everything alright?" I asked.
"I hope so, I just have the feeling of being watched. I don't want anything to happen to you again. You've already been shot multiple times while spending time with me. I'm afraid of it happening again" Midas explained.
"I'll be fine, and even if I do get shot again. I've survived the others because of you I can survive another" I replied.
Midas sighed and looked out the window at the ocean.

The waiter brought us our food and we began eating. We talked about the other agents, especially Meowscles and Skye and their relationship. Meowscles is Midas' bestfriend while Skye is my bestfriend.

We finished eating and Midas paid for the bill. I told him I could, but he wouldn't let me. He even left a $50 tip for the waiter who was ecstatic about his tip.

We walked outside and saw a helicopter waiting for us. We hopped into the helicopter and the henchmen flew us back.

I thanked the henchmen for flying us back. Midas and I went to the lounge room to see everyone in there finishing up lunch.

"Where were you two?" Maya asked.
"We went to Sticks for lunch" Midas replied as I nodded.
"Nice" Maya added.
"I need to see everyone in the meeting room" Midas told everyone as he walked out of the room.

I followed him to the meeting room and so did everyone else.

"Everyone is going to have to start training more often. We don't have anything special to train for. It just gives everyone something to do and to be as prepared as possible for when something does come up. I just had a new pool installed so everyone can practice their swimming skills. I personally think swimming is the main thing everyone should practice. I myself will be keeping track of who has done there weekly training time. You will have to have a total of 5 hours every week. You can either do all 5 in one day or spread it out. You can also do more then the required time, but may not do less" Midas explained.
"Easy" Meowscles said.
"Good, any questions?" Midas asked looking at everyone.
"Yeah, do we have to do it?" TNTina asked.
"Yes it's required. Anyone else?"
Everyone shook their heads.
"Dismissed"

With that everyone got up and headed to the lounge room. Midas stayed in the meeting room. I hesitated on leaving Midas and going to the lounge room, but decided to hang out with everyone else.

We all sat down in the lounge room and us girls played with Diamond. Diamonds stuff came today so she had a whole bunch of brand new toys. The guys eventually came down to the floor with us and we were all playing with Diamond.

Midas came in and saw us all sitting in a circle with Diaminds and her toys in the middle. He chuckled a little and walked over to us. He sat down next to me and Diamond immediately walked up to Midas.

"Aww, she likes you!" Skye said.
"I guess" Midas replied.

Midas picked Diamond up and started petting her. She eventually fell asleep in his arms.

It was time for dinner and everyone was sitting at the table besides Midas and I who were cuddling with Diamond.

"Dinner time guys" Peely told us.
"Okay" I said grabbing Diamond.

I set Diamond down on the couch. Midas and I walked over to the table and sat down. Everyone started digging in and eating. We all talked about our days and about Diamond.

When dinner was finished I picked Diamond up and brought her to her bed in my room. Midas followed and we got ready for bed and went to sleep.
