Chapter 71: Beach Day

I fell onto his bathroom floor with a loud thud. His footsteps came to a stop until I heard them getting louder. The bathroom light was turned on and I saw Midas come in. He looked confused and worried.

"Y/n? I didn't know you were in here" he said.
"Yeah, ow" I whinced as I began to stand.
"Let me help you, doll" Midas stated as he walked over and held his hands out for me.

I held his hands in mine and he pulled me up and I stood. I brushed myself off and grabbed my bag. I gave Midas a kiss, grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the bathroom with me.

"Thank you, sorry. I saw you changing in your closet. You didn't see me so I hid behind your bathroom door to try and scare you but you didn't come in here. You started to leave and I went to get my bag and tripped on my shoe" I explained.

Midas just began chuckling to himself.

"You need to be careful though, you have another person in you" he reminded me.
"Technically not yet, just one is forming"
"Yes, but still you need to be careful for when he or she is in there" he said poking my stomach.

I just giggled and we walked out to the lobby where everyone else already was. We grabbed the floaties and things and headed outside. We started walking towards the helicopter.

"We aren't taking the helicopter" Midas told everyone.
"What?" Maya said.
"We aren't taking the helicopter" Midas repeated.
"Then what are we taking?" I asked.
"We are taking the new bus that I got" he said pointing towards a large bus that was across the water
"Oh" I said.

We all headed to the boat and drove across taking turns. We all got into the bus and it was nothing like I expected. It had seats that lined the sides of the bus. The center was open and in the back was a separate room to hold our belongings and a bathroom. There was carpet on the floors and the seats had cushions that were soft. There were also speakers in the ceiling and music playing quietly.

"Wow" everyone said as they looked around in awe.

We set our things in the back room and sat down. Midas, Skye, Meow, Maya, and I sat on one side while Brutus, Peely, TNTina, and Bomb sat on the other side.

"Why did you get this bus?" Maya asked Midas.
"I figured it would be easier for days like today because the helicopter doesn't have as much space" Midas replied.
"Oh" Maya added.

The ride to Sweaty was just a mix of separate conversations. Midas and I talking with Meow and Skye, Maya talking to TNTina and Bomb, while Brutus and Peely talked.

"So was your pregnancy planned?" Skye asked.
"Not really, but we are ready" I replied.
"Wait, where is the child going to be staying? All of the rooms are taken already" Meow asked.
"Oh, I don't really know" I responded looking over to Midas.
"Well, y/n can stay in my room with me and the baby can have her old room" Midas suggested.
"That would be perfect" I added.
"Oo can I help you guys remodel y/n's room then!?" Skye somewhat yelled.
"What?" Maya asked.
"Oh, I'm moving into Midas' room with him and our baby is getting my old room. Skye wants to help remodel" I explained.
"Oh" Maya said going back to her conversation.
"Yeah you can help" I told her.
"I'll help with the heavy things" Meow said as he flexed his biceps.

The bus stopped and we got our stuff out of the back of the bus. We hopped off the bus and headed to the beach. The guys set up the umbrellas as us girls set the chairs up. When we all finished I grabbed a paddleboard and an oar and headed to the water. Maya grabbed the other paddleboard and oar and followed me to the water. Midas just sat in his chair under an umbrella. Brutus and Meow raced to the nearest island while Skye and TNTina grabbed a beach ball and hit it back and forth. Bomb grabbed a surf board and ran to the waves.

I sat onto the paddleboard and Maya did the same on hers. We paddled to deeper water before standing up. It was a little difficult to stand up considering waves were making the boards rock. We eventually did and began paddling towards the island that Meow and Brutus always raced to.

When we got close we jumped off of our boards into the water. We set our oars onto the boards and pushed them to the island as we swam. We pulled the boards onto the beach and just left them.

We turned around and began walking onto the island. I could hear faint talking and I think Maya did as well. She grabbed my arm and ducked down so I ducked down with her. We looked around, but didn't see anyone.

I pointed at a bush and we ran over to it hiding in it. We kept looking around until Maya tapped on my shoulder and pointed at Brutus and Meow. I looked at her and smirked. She smirked back and we just nodded.

I reached out of the bush and grabbed a small rock. I handed it to her and then grabbed another one. We looked at one another and smiled. We looked over at Brutus and Meow. They were sitting on some large rocks and just talking.

"Wait" I whispered.
"Why?"
"Just listen"
"...yeah I want to man, but what if she rejects me" Brutus said.
"That's the worst that could happen.  Being told no isn't too bad. I mean, all you can do is ask her" Meow replied.
"Yeah, I know"
"You'll never know how she feels if you don't say anything. Just speak up and tell her how you feel"
"Okay, I will. I just need to find her so I can ask her" Brutus said as he began looking towards the beach.
"Well her and y/n were paddleboarding around so they could be anywhere"
"Yeah I'll wait for her and y/n to come back before I confess to her" Brutus sighed.
