Chapter 35: Diamond and Gold

"Y/n will you marry me?" Midas asked.

I heard everyone gasp as I stood there tearing up and smiling.

"Yes" I replied.

He put the ring onto my finger and stood up. We kissed and everyone clapped and cheered for us. We quit kissing and I could see Midas with happy tears in his eyes as well. Except his weren't super noticeable while mine were running down my cheeks. He used his thumb to wipe the tears away and smiled at me.

"Happy Birthday doll" Midas said.
"Thank you" I replied.
"Oh my gosh congrats guys!!" Skye squealed as she hugged me.
"We should probably head back" Brutus suggested.
"Yeah we probably should" Peely agreed.

Everyone went outside and hopped into the helicopter. I sat next to Midas and Skye. Skye and I played with Diamond through the holes of the carrier.

We arrived at the Agency and Skye helped me bring my things to my room. Midas followed behind us and came into my room with us. Midas sat on my bed while Skye and I sat on the floor to play with Diamond. Midas started putting my things away for me.

"Midas you don't have to do that" I explained.
"I know" Midas replied as he put my roses into a vase.

I stood up and grabbed the vase turning it into rose gold. I looked up at him and he just chuckled and kissed my head. I turned to look at Skye and saw her holding Diamond who was sleeping.

"I need to order her things" I said as I grabbed my laptop and sat on my bed.

Skye got up and sat next to me still petting Diamond. Midas sat on my other side and watched as I pulled up the website. I ordered her a (your choice of color) collar, a heart shaped name tag with her name on it, a cat tree, and cat bed, food and water bowls, a litter box with litter, and a few cat toys. I used the gift card which paid for most of it. I then pulled my card out of my pocket and paid for the rest which was like 10 vbucks.

I put my laptop away and took Diamond from Skye.

"Goodnight Skye" I said as she left.
"Goodnight" she replied.
"Goodnight" Midas said.

I sat down next to Midas and set Diamind in his lap. He looked at me unsure about the little creature that was now walking on his lap. I giggled and picked her up.

"Here, hold her while I get ready" I told him as I handed her to Midas.

He took her and still seemed unsure. I went to my closet and grabbed some pajamas and went to my bathroom to take a shower.

I finished getting ready for bed and left my bathroom to see Midas laying on my bed with Diamond curled up on his chest sleeping. I walked over to Midas and smiled at him while he smiled at her.

"I can take her while you go get ready for bed" I stated.
"Okay, but she's so peaceful and comfortable" Midas said carefully handing her to me.

Midas got up and went to his room and came back with some boxers. He went into my bathroom and took a shower and got ready for bed.

I laid on my bed with Diamond laying next to me sleeping. Midas came and laid next to us. Diamond laid on the bed between us as we dozed off to sleep.

The next day I woke up to see Diamond curled up by Midas' neck. I carefully got up and grabbed my phone. I took a picture and made it my wallpaper on my homescreen. My lockscreen was a picture of all the agents at the beach together.

Midas started waking up and realised Diamond was laying by his neck. He chuckled and looked at me.

"Adorable" I whispered.
"I'm not adorable, doll"
"But you are" I said kissing his cheek.

I walked into my bathroom to get ready for the day. I felt fur brush against my ankle and saw Diamond walking against my ankle. I felt a pair of arms hug me from behind and I looked up at the mirror to see Midas smiling.

"You seem to be in a good mood lately" I stated.
"Well I have a good reason, darling" he said grabbing my left hand and messing with my ring.

We got ready for the day and Diamond just played around the bathroom.

Once we finished we headed to the lounge room with Diamond in my arms. As soon as I walked into the lounge room the girls ran over and started talking about my engagement. They also started playing with Diamond.

I walked over and grabbed my Beauty mug and saw Midas had his Beast mug. I didn't normally make coffee in the morning so I decided to make tea. I took my tea and sat over by the girls while Midas left for his office.

"So, when is your guys wedding?" Maya asked.
"I don't know, he just proposed yesterday!" I replied. "I'm gonna go help Midas I'll be back in here later" I told them as I grabbed my mug and Diamond.

I walked off to Midas' office and walked in. He was facing the window with a huge grin on his face. I snuck up behind him and set Diamond on his shoulder. Midas jumped and grabbed Diamond and set her on the floor.

He hugged me and I felt my shoulder get warm and wet. I pulled away to see him crying.

"Midas, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just never imagined the day coming where someone would say yes to my proposal. I never even knew it was possible to be this happy. Then you came and my life has just been amazing and it's all because of you. I'm just so grateful for you y/n. I love you" he explained hugging me.
"Oh, Midas" I replied hugging him even tighter.
