Chapter 54: Swimming (pt.2)

"Good job!" I told her.

"Thanks, you did good too, I mean I only got .1 seconds more" she giggled.

"Are you girls ready for the next activity?" Midas asked as we all nodded.

"Okay good, next activity is swimming with extra weight. These are weight straps, two go around your wrists, two go around your ankles, and the last one goes around your abdomen" Midas explained as he set the tub of weights down. 

We all pulled out the weights and began putting them on. I started with the one that went around my abdomen. I had Skye help me since it latched in the back. I then helped her with hers. I then put the ankle weights on and then the wrist weights on. When we all finished we went to our lanes.

The song then changed.

"Okay so you girls will just be racing again, but this time you will have your stopwatches going to see your times. I will have henchmen taking care of the stopwatches for you" Midas told us as he tapped his earpiece and ordered 4 henchmen.

The four henchmen came in and grabbed the others stopwatches, Midas grabbed mine.

"Ready, set, go!" Midas yelled as we all started.

I once again ended up winning. I had a time of 34.3 seconds, Maya had a time of 39.1 seconds, Skye had 42.8 seconds, TNTina had 46.6 seconds, while Bomb had 51.4 seconds.

"Alright, Lastly you must be able to swim across and back without stopping while carrying someone else. This is extremely important incase you need to help someone from drowning or if someone is hurt during battle near or in water. If you are unable to complete this task today, you must come in everyday and practice until you're able to complete this task" Midas explained.

"Okay, who are we going to be carrying?" Bomb asked.

"You will be carrying a dummy test doll which weighs 200 pounds" Midas responded.

"Got it, good thing I used to be a lifeguard" Bomb added.

"I was a lifeguard too!" I told her.

"Really?!" Bomb replied.

"Yep!" I responded.

"Okay, I'll be right back with the dummy" Midas told us as he set the clipboard down and walked away.

He came back with a dummy test doll and set it at the edge of the pool.

"Who would like to begin?" he asked as he picked his clipboard back up.

"I will" Bomb replied as she picked the dummy up.

Bomb finished and had a time of 55.5 seconds. Next, I went and got a time of 45.6 seconds. Then Maya went with a time of 59.1 seconds. TNTina got a time of 1 minute and 1.2 seconds. Lastly, Skye got 1 minute and 5.7 seconds.

"Alright you girls are all done, Skye and TNTina you should keep practicing to try and get a time less than 1 minute. Then, for everyone, in exactly 3 months I expect you to be able to do this task in a matter of 30 seconds." He explained to us as we just nodded.

He pulled the dummy out of the water and brought it over to a rack and laid it out to dry. He then laid the weights out to dry as well. He grabbed towels and brought them over to us to dry ourselves off.

We all got out and began drying ourselves off, as we were drying off the other guys came over from the weight lifting area. Meow smirked at Skye and walked over, he picked her up and tossed her into the water and jumped in. Luckily the guys all had their swimsuits on, well besides Midas of course.

Brutus and Peely came over and jumped in. Bomb and TNTina looked at each other and shrugged they then jumped in. Maya jumped in and I looked at Midas, he looked at me and pointed to his outfit.

The song once again ended up changing.

"You might wanna change, cause in a couple minutes I won't care about what you're wearing. You'll be going in either way" I told him.

"Oh really?" He replied raising an eyebrow.

"Really" I replied as I raised an eyebrow.

He just chuckled to himself and began walking away. He left the room and came back with his swimsuit on, therefore shirtless and hot like always. I walked over to the edge of the pool and was then pushed in. I grabbed Midas' wrist and pulled him in with me. When we emerged from the water everyone began laughing.

"You thought you were slick didn't you" I said to Midas.

"That wasn't me darling, that was her" He smiled as he looked over to Skye who was now standing at the edge of the pool.

"Oh you!" I said as I reached up and pulled Skye in.

Everyone began laughing and having a good time. We played chicken and of course Midas and I ended up winning like we always do. We played a whole bunch of other games and had a lot of fun.

We got out once we realized dinner was in 30 minutes. We all got dried off and went to the locker rooms. They technically weren't locker rooms, but they were very similar. Instead of lockers everyone had their own rooms. The rooms had bathrooms with showers, a dressing room, and a small area to sit and wait.

We all took showers and got dressed into our clothes from earlier. As soon as everyone had finished we all headed to the lounge room and sat down at the dining table. We waited for dinner and as soon as it was served we began eating. Everyone was pretty tired so nobody said that much.

When dinner was over we all left and headed to bed. Midas and I ended up staying in my room tonight. We got ready for bed together and immediately laid down once we had finished getting ready. Diamond decided to hop up onto my bed and come cuddle with us. I began playing with Midas' hair as he rubbed my back. We then began to slowly fall asleep as well as Diamond who was laying right between Midas and I.
