"Whatchu wanna do today?" I asked tai as I laid my head on her lap. "Doesn't matter" she said. "I ont wanna make you go out somewhere cause I know you still Got that on ya mind. Me, you and Malik can just chill foreal" I said starin at the ceiling as she rubbed her fingers through my hair. "Okay" she said and I looked at her. "I got a question ma" I said. "Okay" she said. "Why you think I love you" I asked and she shrugged. "I can tell. Even though you don't wanna show it. But I don't think you do, I know you do" she said and I sighed and nodded. "I ont know ma." I said. "Im stuck on tay" , she sighed. "I know and im not rushing you. Whenever you feel like your ready , I'll be waiting for you" she said and I sighed and nodded. "I don't want you to wait too long" I said and she laughed. "I won't" she said while punchin me. I smirked and looked at her. I puckered up my lips and she pecked em . "Word its like that?" I asked and she smiled and kissed me. "Better" i said kissin her cheek. I looked towards the door and seen Malik standin there. I got up and walked over to him. He held his arms out and i picked him up. He laid his head on my shoulder. I like how he attached to me already cause at first a nigga was scared , i aint think he was gone like me yo. My phone start ringin so I answered it. "Hello" I said. "Take him ma" i mouthed to tai and she grabbed him out my arms. "Wassup wit it" J said to me. "Nothin man. Just chillin wit my girl and her kid" I said lookin at tai , she smiled and I winked at her. "Come through kendrick game" he said. "Damn I mean dang what time it start" i asked and Tai smiled at me. "4" he said. "Alright man. We a come" i said. "Alright one" he said. "One" i said then I hung up. I sat on the bed and malik climbed onto my lap. "My lil cousin got a basketball game in a hour. Wanna go?" I asked tai. She nodded and i nodded and looked down at malik. "Wanna meet yo new cousin" i asked and he cheesed at me. Tai got up and walked over to the mirror. We was already dressed. i watched her brush her long curly hair into a ponytail. "No" i said and she looked at me. "Leave it down" I said and she smiled and nodded. "Aye man" i said to malik. He looked at me wit his hazel eyes. "Yo moms fine kid." I said and i heard tai laugh. He smiled and looked at her. "Mommy pretty" he whispered into my ear. I laughed and nodded. "More then that lil man" I said starin at her . I sat him on the bed and walked over to the mirror. I stood beside her and grabbed my gel. I rubbed it through my hair and sponged it to make it more curly. "Here" tai said and i handed her the sponge. She stood on her tippy toes and sponged my hair. "Good look" i said and she nodded. "Yall ready?" I asked and tai nodded. I grabbed malik coat and put it on him. I picked him up and we walked downstairs. We walked out the seat and i put him in his car seat. Me and tai got inside and i drove off. "Check the time ma" i said. "3:45" she said and i nodded. I looked in the mirror at malik and he was lookin out the window smilin. I smirked and looked back at the road. 15 minutes later i pulled up to the Y where his game was. We got out and i grabbed malik out his seat. He grabbed my hand and we walked inside. We walked into the gym and I picked Malik up. "Wassup everybody" I said to uncle jawan , Paris, Cali , uncle christian , mariah , my brothers ect. "Wassup" everybody said. "Yo who is this" my aunt kiara said smilin at malik. "My girl son. Her name Tai and his name malik" I said and they all said hi to tai and malik. "Hey" tai said smilin. "Here I'll take him for you" my aunt kiara said , i smiled and nodded. "Wassup" I said sittin next to J , DeQuan , tre , Cjay and Q . "Not shit man." Tre said. "Nothin man . You know" Q said dappin me up. "Life is Life" J said and i nodded. "I feel you" i said. "i been chillin" DeQuan said. "But whats really up witchu man. I see you got a lil family and shit" tre said makin us laugh , I nodded and looked at tai. She was smilin and laughin wit the girls and I just admired her. I ont know why its so hard for me to love her. She perfect. Im trippin. "Yeah .." I said to tre while still lookin at her. "niggas in love and Shit. Gotta tell pops about this one" he said and I shrugged. "I ain't in love with nobody. Im inlove wit the life I live doe" i said. "So you ont love her?" DeQuan asked. "I ont know man. Sometimes I can stare at her and be like damn....." i said and he nodded. "You love her man. You barely knew shorty and you got her and her kid livin witchu. It aint nothin wrong wit lovin somebody man. Real shit. I love the fuck outta mariah crazy ass" he said. "Word. Me and Paris might do Shit wrong but we always get it right. She look like a good girl. Man you better keep her" j said. "man ya boy might tie the knot wit mercedez" tre said and we all laughed. "Im foreal. Man" he said and I could tell by the look on his face he was forral. "Yeah me too. I might marry Jessica. Shit ain't no might I am. See look" Q said and he pulled out this ring that had a big ass rock on it. "Damn man" J said. "She deserve it. She gave me all I wanted. Love, a kid and loyalty. Shit it don't get no better then that. Might just help her bake more muffins too" he said and I mugged him. "Anyways man. Congrats. I know where y'all coming from. But lil dude , i can get use to him bein around" I said lookin at malik. "He look like you man. You sure you aint then fucked around and got her pregnant?" DeQuan said makin me laugh. "I'm sure bruh" I said. "He do look like you" tre said. I shook my head and laughed. "Shutup. The game startin" I said. Kendrick shot the first shot and I bout punched uncle jawan cause he was so damn hype. "I see you baby! Get that work!" He yelled to Kendrick. "How much y'all wanna bet my lil brotha make it to the nba. And if not he get hella scholarships and shit" J said. "Aint no bettin man." Q said. I looked at Tai and she was into the game. She looked at me from the corner of her eye and smiled. I pulled out my phone and texted her. "Come here" I said to her and she got up and sat next to me. "Wassup" she said. "Wassup ma" cjay said touching her hair. She slowly turned around and smirked. She waved and turned Back around. "Why did he just touch my hair?" She asked. "He gay" I said and he punched me. "Shutup bitch" he said. "I see you bub" J yelled when Kendrick made the shot. "Calm down man" some white man said from the other team said. "Awl that was yo son my brother crossed? I ont care. Yo son ass" J said makin us laugh. "Your family is crazy" tai said and I laughed. "Word" I said lookin at her. I bit my lip and looked down. She grabbed my hand and I tried to let hers go but she wouldn't let mine go. I sighed and held her hand. She smirked and I shook my head. "Other day i tried to hold yours but you wouldn't let me. You corny" I said and she laughed and shrugged. "Im better then you" she said. "But you do what I tell you" I said. "True but im better" she said. "We a see" I said and she nodded. "Aye Tai" j said sittin next to her "You know me and James together right?" He said and I smacked my lips. she looked at me and I shook my head no. "Wow really?" She asked smilin at Me. "Yeah ma. That's all me." J said and I shook my head. "Ain't that right bae" j said and I shook my head. "Nope" I said. "Ba.." he started to say but Paris grabbed his hand. "W-wassup baby" he said to her and I laughed. 4th quarter was over and my boy won. We all walked outside the gym and waited for Kendrick to come out. He came out and every body congratulated him and Shit. "Here" aunt kiara said handin Malik to me. He was sleep. "Thanks" I said kissin her cheek. "Ready?" I asked Tai and she nodded. "We out. Goodnight everybody " I said. "See y'all lata" uncle Jawan said. we walked out the building and headed towards the car. "Don't drop him" Tai said. "I ain't ma. my pants too low" I said holdin my pants while holdin Malik. "Whatever" she said. I put him in his seat and strapped him in. I got in and started the car up. "I can't help it. I gotta sag a lil bit. but you ain't me so you wouldn't understand " I said and she laughed. We made it to the house and we laid malik down. I slipped on my basketball shorts and a beater. I laid between Tai legs and rested my head on her stomach. "Tai" I said as she rubbed my arm. "What's up" she asked. "Where Malik pops at?" I asked and I looked up at her. "He got killed right around the time I got pregnant with Malik " she said and I nodded. "Was y'all together" I asked. "Yeah. Ever since we were like 15" She said and I nodded and played with her fingers. She sighed and I looked at her. "You good?" I asked and she nodded. "Ima always be there for you and Malik. Especially since you just told me that. I ain't sayin im gone be his dad or nothin cause that I won't be but ima try my best. Im young but I guess I can have a family of my own " I said laughing. "It ain't too bad". She smiled and nodded. "I love you" I said and she looked at me. I smiled and lifted up. I kissed her forehead and laid next to her. I pulled her close to me and held her. "I love you" she said and I smirked. I Turned off the lights and we fell asleep.
