The Commander

Leia is standing in her lab, looking over everything and fixing up a few devices as Penny's blueprints are projected before her. The door to the lab opens and Ruby walks in with Weiss behind her. Leia glances back a little and smiles slightly before she resumes her work.

Leia: And what can I help you ladies with today?

Weiss: We were just curious if you-

Ruby: How's Penny?

Weiss groaned a little as Ruby walked up to Leia. Leia sighed and slightly pushed Ruby back. Leia sighed a little and got Ruby away from her.

Leia: I may be helping to design her, but I have other priorities. People answered the call. We need to rebound, regroup and get to work.

Ruby: But...Penny...

Weiss: Ruby. She can't the priority all the time.

Ruby sighed a little and stepped away. Leia glances over to her and turns back. Before Leia could speak to the disgruntled leader, her scroll rings. Leia slides it opens and answers it.

Leia: Go for Burns.

Ironwood: Ms. Burns.

Leia: General?

Ironwood: Is Ms. Schnee and Ms. Rose with you?

Leia: Yeah?

Ironwood: Good. Meet us on the main landing pad. There is an incoming contact I think you three are going to be thrilled about.

Before Leia could question it at all, the call ended. She sighed and turned to the two women in the room. She shrugged and waved them off, guiding the duo to the landing pad. Already there was May, Blake, and Nora. Leia cocked an eyebrow as she approached the trio there.

Ruby: What's going on here?

Blake: No idea.

Nora: Something about a "contact" or whatever?

Weiss: Same with us.

Atlesian guards marched out with Ironwood. They all stand in formation a little, standing in a line as the Manta lands down. Leia glances to May, confused and May stays still. The doors of the ship open and Isaac and Bazaar are the first two out. They stride up to Ironwood and Isaac gives him a half salute. Finally, stepping out from the Manta is Yang and Fred. The troops raise their rifles, almost saluting as they walk up.

Nora almost squeals and runs past Ironwood and hugs both Fred and Yang. Yang laughs a little and hugs her back as Fred is slightly off-put. However, he does hug her back eventually. Leia, May, Blake, and Weiss walk up to join them as well. May is the next to hug Fred as Blake embraces Yang as well.

May: Good to have you back.

Fred: Good to be back.

Ironwood walks up to the group and looks down to Fred.

Ironwood: Commander.

Fred cocks an eyebrow and looks around a little. He turns back and shrugs a little.

Fred: Guardian. I..don't think Commander suits me.

Ironwood nods and steps to the side. Behind them all are Qrow, Mason, Evie, and Glynda. Evie runs up to Fred and he does the same, the two embracing one another. Mason steps up as well and pats Fred on the shoulder a little. The three stay still for some time as Qrow and Ruby join Yang a little.

Inside the facility, Fred walks into a room containing Leia, May, and Ember's personal items. He smiles warmly a little and walks over to a fourth bed and places his stuff down there.
