Late Night

Inside Leia's lab, she walks over to a workbench and grabs a wrench, flips it through the air and walks back over to a jet engine. Before she gets back to the engine, she looks at a casserole on the table and quickly takes a spoon full and smiles in satisfaction before walking back to her work.

Leia: Seriously, Jaune. Write those moms some thank you cards. This stuff is great!

She takes another spoonful as across from the table is Jaune. He laughs slightly, rubbing the back of his neck a bit, trying to formulate an answer to her.

Jaune: Ah, well. It's just some level of thank you I guess.

Leia: Still. Oh, could you please.

Jaune: Oh yeah, sure!

Jaune walked over and placed a lift below an engine as Leia began to tighten the screws around its base. She hummed a little as she worked on the piece a bit until the plate was fully locked in place. She stood up and dusted her hands off and walked back over to a tool station. She took off a lab coat and protective equipment before placing it in their proper locations.

Jaune: Done for the night?

Leia: Yeah. Been working my rear off for the past few days. Might as well call it early. What about you? What are Ren and Nora up to?

Jaune: Knowing Ren, either meditating or dealing with Nora. With Nora...eating the academy out of house and home.

Leia giggled slightly as she patted Jaune's arm.

Leia: So, now what?

Jaune: I'm not so sure. I guess we keep pushing out selves.

Leia: Maybe. I don't really know.

Jaune: We could read something.

Leia: What? You want me a bedtime story.

Jaune: You know, you can be very condescending. And very rude. Insulting. Somewhat self-centered. Contrived-

Leia: Ok, ok! Geez, man! Brutal honesty much.

Jaune: Just saying.

Leia: What, I need therapy?

Jaune: Couldn't help.

Leia turned back to him and was about to say something but stopped herself. She looked over at two chairs in the lab and pushed one over to Jaune. She sat down in the second seat and gestured for June to sit down. His eyes widen a bit.

Jaune: I don't think I'm-

Leia: You're one of 8 kids. You have 7 sisters. Surely, you have some experience.

Jaune looked to his right and saw a clipboard with some notes and a pen beside it. He sighed and grabbed both before sitting down across from her. He clicked the pen and gestured for her to begin.

Leia: Well, I guess we might as well start with my parents. One of a corporate mad man. The other was a mad banker.

Inside the streets of Mantle, a man walks down through an alleyway and to a backdoor of some building. Four figures leap down into the alleyway. They are revealed to be Ember, Oscar, Ruby, and Blake. Ember points to each side of the alleyway and the four quickly move to those positions. Ember takes out one of his knives and converts it into his pistol and cocks it.

Ember points forward and Blake goes to the far side of the door with Ember taking the closer side. Ruby gets behind Ember as does Oscar. Ember looks at Blake and nods. Ember knocks on the door.
