In Oobleck's classroom, Yang and Fred are in their row working on the project. From behind them, a rock is thrown at Fred's head.

Fred: Ow!

Fred looks back to see Cardin with his legs propped up against a desk smirking down at Fred. Fred resumes his work, mumbling to himself. Suddenly, Yang places her hand on the location of the rock's hit.

Yang: You good?

Fred: (Flustered) Uh-y-yeah. Fine. Let's just keep working.

The two return to their project. However, another rock hits Fred's back again. Fred whips around, angered by this again sees Cardin with a smug look. Yang turns around and sees the same thing.

Yang: Knock it off, Cardin.

Cardin: Knock what off, you bimbo? Just doing my work, same as you.

Fred: Don't degrade her!

Both Yang and Cardin look at Fred surprised and shocked.

Cardin: Since when did you care?

Fred: Since you drew other people into this.

Fred resumes his work. Yang follows suit joining her partner as Cardin continues to look down at Fred.

Yang: Thanks, for sticking up for me.

Fred: Yeah. Let's just keep working.

Another rock comes down at the two. This time it hits Yang's head.

Fred: Cardin!

Fred stands up and looks directly at Cardin.

Fred: This is between you and me! Leave her and everyone else out of it!

Cardin: So defensive.

Fred: Kinda have to be when around a giant ape wielding a stick as a weapon.

Ember: (Offscreen) Burn!

Cardin: Why I outta-

Oobleck: Mr. Winchester. Mr. Scorch. Please, leaving fighting for Professor Goodwitch's classroom.

Fred: Yes, sir.

Yang: Professor?

Oobleck moves in front of Yang at lighting speeds.

Ooblck: Doctor.

Yang: Ah, yes. Is it possible for my group to work outside?

Oobleck: I suppose.

Yang: Thank you. (To Fred; Whispering) Come on.

Yang grabs her bag and Fred does the same to his. What he does not expect is for Yang to grab his hand an drag him outside. Fred sits down as does Yang, side by side. Fred doesn't say a word but gets his notes out and begins working. Yang does the same thing.

Fred: Sorry.

Yang: What?

Fred: I didn't mean to cause a scene. I just-I just don't like people bullying others to get to me or anyone else.

Yang: Don't worry about it.

Fred: I can't. You're a-

Yang: Friend?

Fred: Yeah. Yeah you are. And I don't like seeing people hurt, especially if you guys are used to get to me.

Yang: Where is this coming from? I've known you for about two weeks and already you open up.
