Black Panther Awakens

Y/N's POV

It had been a terribly busy summer for me along with sending letters to everyone, I had also started to learn some mixed martial arts as I wanted to be prepared for anything if I was without my wand. I was also researching everything I had got about Grindelwald from MACUSA. I had learned a lot about Gellert's crimes during my time researching and I also learnt about his abilities that I had also inherited, wandless magic and various other abilities. I had also received a letter from Dumbledore explaining about the training he wanted me to do and instructions to follow. I had learned that I could summon things without the accio spell it was how I had managed to summon the sword to my hand last year without saying anything. But today was different, today being the day I was to become an Animagus. I had a mandrake leaf in my mouth for the last month and I had also made up the potion in secret away from everyone else, Claire made sure to keep the rest of the kids away from my room. I had also been repeating the incantation "Amato Amino Animato Animagus" every day since I got back from Hogwarts. As I lay in bed thinking about what I had learned over the summer there was a sudden clap of lightning. I shoot out of bed and grabbed the potion and my wand and ran outside. I had found a corner in the garden where there were no windows so no one could see me. I pointed my wand to my heart and chanted.

"Amato Amino Animato Animagus."

I then downed the potion and waited for something to happen. Nothing happened at first, I thought I had buggered it up when suddenly my stomach started churning and I fell to my knees in pain. I threw my hands in front of me to stop myself from hitting my face into the ground to see they had turned into black paws I closed my eyes at the pain and when I opened them, I noticed that it was different my vision was clearer in the dark. I turned to see an old mirror by the back of the house and in its reflection was a Black Panther. I then willed myself to turn back into a human. I looked down at the neckless McGonagall had given me during my first year and smiled. I guess it really was lucky my Animagus form was the same as the Panther on the necklace. I returned to my room with a smile on my face and went to sleep.

The next morning, I awoke to a tapping sound. I opened my eyes to see Bella staring at the window.

"Bella what are you looking at?" I asked her as the tapping sound continued, I turned to look at the window.

"Hedwig?" I opened the window as she flew in and landed on the perch as I gave her some food and water and gave her a quick stroke. I opened the letter Hedwig had brought.

Hey Y/N

How are you doing? Sorry for not replying to your last letter things kind of got out of hand at the Dursley's. Vernon's sister came to dinner and I may have turned her into a balloon I am staying at the leaky cauldron for the rest of the summer maybe you can stop by for an afternoon, or something would be good to see a mate anyway.

I finished reading the letter and replied to him.

Hey Harry.

Yeah, sure I am going to be in London early next week to get my school things anyway so I will definitely see you I might see if I can book a room the night before we go back to Hogwarts.

I gave Hedwig a quick stroke and then the letter and watched her take flight. I made my way down the stairs with Bella at my feet and saw Claire sitting at the table. Bella made her way over to Claire for a scratch before she went wandering off.

"Morning Claire." I said.

"Morning Y/N how did you sleep?" she asked.

"Really well thanks." I said.
