Last time on Into the Light Remake...
My ancestor had landed on Japan and worked hard to achieve the ordeal of shedding the darkness from his hearts.
Azazel von Lionheart: I seek to stop the Thunder God, Raijin.
Toyotami Daimyō: Many are the men who have scaled the mountain, but not one has returned.
On their way up, the encountered the first of the elemental demigods; the Blighted Despot, Scarmiglione.
They end up defeating the demigod and my ancestor succeeded in receiving the legendary blade known as Ascalon, as well as the fires of Ddraig.
Ddraig: But in doing so, be wary for when the White One shows himself.
They made it back to Grovia, where they freed Xiang from their influence as he was amnestic from Leviathan's attack.
Xiang: Mira was swallowed by Leviathan. I do not know Prince Abraham's fate.
After they defeated Hadrianus, they end up fighting another elemental demigod; the Drowned King, Cagnazzo.
While they end up saving Saewig at the cost of Irene and Constantine turning themselves to stone, they were given an ultimatum from Secundinia.
Secundinia: If you wish to see Rosalina live, fetch me the Menorah from the land of Curin.
Azazel von Lionheart: Open your eyes to what you're doing, Secundinia!
They defeated the dark elf who was guarding the Menorah in the lodestone cavern with the aid of Abraham in the form of a melody playing from the whisperweed.
Arika: Dwell on it no more. Gladys was happy to have been loved by a man as brave as you.
Abraham: Arika...
Once they had retrieved the Menorah, Secundinia guided them to the Tower of Auhæn.
Raijin: Should you succeed in reaching us, I will exchange her for the Menorah as promised.
The Magus Sisters was sent to dispose them, but they were no match for their resilience. While they did give Raijin the Menorah, they fell into his trap and he plans to kill Rosalina anyway.
Saewig: He's been playing us for fools all along!
Arika: Your words are as twisted as your soul!
While Raijin humiliated Arika with his immense power, Arika used the ultimate spell to end a god's life; Ultima.
Arika: And that is what it means to be a parent.
