=BIOGRAPHY=
A fierce temper, a fascination with all things explosive, and a terrible plan to kill the Loch Madai Serpent cost the six-year-old Demoman his original set of adoptive parents. Later, at the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans near Whitegarde in the Madaikorum Highlands, the boy's bomb-making skills improved dramatically. His disposition and total number of intact eyeballs, however, did not.
Word of his proficiency with explosives spread, and it was not long before Crypt Grammar received two visitors; Demoman's real parents, who lovingly explained that all Demomen are abandoned at birth until their skills manifest themselves, a long-standing, cruel, and wholly unnecessary tradition among the Highland Demolition Men. His unhappy childhood had ended, but his training had just begun.
=APPEARANCE=
Demoman is easily recognizable by the eyepatch he wears over his left eye. This eyepatch is a result of his eye being haunted by the Bombinomicon when he was a child, leading to the creation of MONOCULUS after a young Demoman was saved by Merasmus. In addition to the eyepatch, Demoman is often seen wearing an Explosive Ordnance Disposal suit, a black knit cap, and six grenades attached to his flak jacket. Notably, he also has a picture of a smiley face taped to his crotch.
In addition, Demoman has a scabbard on his back for his sword, which we'll cover in his weapons.
=PERSONALITY & TRAITS=
Despite being a drunk, foul-mouthed brute in battle who enjoys insulting others, Demoman is shown to be rather polite when relatively sober, being one of the more level-headed and reasonable mercenaries. Despite this, he's still shown to be perfectly alright with killing for money and has shown great degrees of sadism before.
Demoman is notorious for his deep fondness for alcohol, a habit that has been a constant in his life since his youth. Demoman also shares a deep friendship with Soldier.
=SKILLS & ABILITIES=
Demoman is equally as resilient as the Pyro, with both of them wearing medium armor, making him the third most durable class on the team as. He's also the third slowest mercenary at 11.9 miles per hour (19.1 kilometers per hour), but like the Soldier, he is incredibly versatile. He can utilize his stickybombs to set up traps for area denial, use his grenades or stickybombs to destroy enemy buildings, or opt for a sword and shield to become a Demoknight.
