Marie's POV
October 8th, 2022 ME
At 11 AM, the morning was well underway, and Marie was beginning to rouse from her slumber. Unlike Callie, who was an early riser, Marie preferred the night and typically woke up around the same time as other Inklings.
Her bedroom in the Squidbeak Tower was similar to the others, but it had its own unique touches. The lime green neon lights gave the room a vibrant glow, and her mini fridge was stocked with bottles of milk tea. The walls were adorned with science posters and images of pop bands, and a ninja bandana hung on a cabinet. Tucked away in a corner was a hot dogfish costume, and on her desk sat a Game Boy with Pokémon Blue. Despite the eclectic mix of items, Marie's room was noticeably tidier than Callie's.
Marie: I really don't feel like getting up. I just wanna rest in my bed.
Marie groaned as she reluctantly rose from her bed.
After a refreshing shower, Marie made her way to the kitchen to pour herself a cup of coffee. In the corner, Soldier and Heavy were engrossed in a hat-trading session. Heavy proudly displayed a peaked military cap adorned with a striking winged insignia in bright red, boasting a longer visor.

Soldier: Ooh!
Soldier placed his hand on his chin and rubbed it, letting out a groan as he thinked.
Soldier: Hah!
When Soldier offered his hat to Heavy in a trade, it was a worn-out black gibus hat with the top almost falling off.
