=BIOGRAPHY=
By his own claim, Merasmus is six thousand years old. While his place of birth is unknown, this age would make Merasmus' origin contemporary with the rise of modern Inklings and Octarians.
Not particularly a top-tier wizard, the earliest available records show Merasmus as a brewer of potions for a Highling drug company; an example is his "Wizard's Brew" Hat Tonic as advertised in the August 21, 1861 ME.
A seven-year-old Demoman discovered Merasmus' castle in the Madaikorum Highlands while seeking work. Merasmus hired Demoman to sweep the library of his castle but told him not to look at a certain book. Ultimately, Demoman lost his left eye when the Bombinomicon haunted it and Merasmus was forced to remove it.
Merasmus kicked Soldier out of his castle for being a nuisance. When he found later that Soldier had trashed his home and evicted him, he took on a ghostly form and attacked Soldier's team.
=APPEARANCE=
Merasmus is seen wearing black boots, black robes, a rope for a belt, a satchel, a black cape, fish heads on a line wrapped around his torso, bandages on his right pinkie (having been cut by the Gokudou and cauterized to prevent regeneration), black wrist straps, and most notably, ram's skull that is missing the left horn.
=PERSONALITY & TRAITS=
Merasmus is a somewhat evil, lazy, careless, and reckless individual who mostly only cares about himself and his well-being. Despite being an immortal wizard, he usually acts within his dialogue that he thinks he tops over everyone else and is automatically better.
He usually likes tormenting and harassing the mercenaries every Splatoween along with convincing them to kill monsters like the Headless Horseman or the MONOCULUS mostly for his own gain and amusement.
Aside from Soldier, Merasmus is absolutely selfish when it comes to his emotions, even then not really caring for the well being of either Soldier or the monsters he summons to kill Soldier's teammates.
Despite also being an all powerful being, Merasmus is also not the greatest at being evil. Merasmus hates Soldier so much that he once said that agreeing to be his roommate was the worst mistake in his 6,000 year life.
Merasmus also claims to be born from the putrid womb of the ancient ones...whatever that means. Merasmus seems to have some kind of heart condition, and Soldier once took Merasmus' heart medication along with his entire bottle of "kill me come back stronger" pills. And to top it off, Merasmus' blood has remained pure.
=POWERS=
Despite being a powerful wizard, Merasmus is at best a mediocre wizard. Merasmus does have access to many options for attacking, even melee with his staff. He can inflict negative effects on his enemies such as small heads, zero gravity, big heads, rain fire, cause them to bleed, or summon ghosts. He may also give positive effects such as super speed, super jump, ÜberCharge, critical hits, or even a dance-off with everyone doing the Thriller dance by Michael Jackson.
Some of his other spells include Shadow Leap, Fireball, Overheal, Swarm of Bats, Pumpkin MIRV, Stealth, Summon MONOCULUS, Skeletons Horde, Ball O' Lightning, Meteor Shower, and Minify. These spells are available to the mercenaries to use during Splatoween.
Other spells include stripping everyone of their guns, inflating peoples' heads, and flooding an entire area with piss.
Merasmus also has access to a powerful tomb called the Bombinomicon.

This one is the 15th edition Merasmus bought on sale for $6.66. The Bombinomicon is a book of forbidden knowledge and ancient wickedness that contains powerful bomb magic, was inked in blood, and every copy is guaranteed to be possessed by an angry talking ghost.
This ghost in particular hates Merasmus and having to live with him, and will go out of his way to help the mercenaries attack Merasmus. The Bombinomicon also really likes the mercenaries (barring Sniper) and is excited to see them whenever they reach Hell.
