018. holes

Shawn shows the owner of the produce stand a photo of Franzen.

"Yeah, I know him. He was my best customer. Don't know his name. But he comes by every night before closing." The owner states.

"Did you ever see which way he went?" Gus asks.

"Yeah. Always up the hill." The owner points. "That's all I see. Although every once in a while I see him come back down the hill early in the morning."

"Hmm. Well, thank you very much. Gus, you got anything else?" SHawn asks.

"Yes, is that peach pie in the back?" Gus asks.

"Yeah." The owner nods.

"I'll take some." Vanessa says, Gus agreeing.

Gus is driving and passes a "Deacon Walker Farms -- No Trespassing" sign. He stops when he drives up to a gate, blocking the rest of the road.

"Another dead end. Let's turn around." Gus says.

"Hold on a second." Shawn says. They all get out of the car and walk over to the post and Shawn points at a bolt.

"This looks like a place someone's been sneaking into." Shawn says. He tries to lift the gate and the other two help, slipping through the created space.

"What is this?" Shawn asks as they stand on top of the hill, seeing multiple places holes have been dug.

"Looks like some kind of farmland or grazing plain." Gus says.

"Oh, look at that. It's like that movie. The one with Sigourney Weaver." Shawn says.

"Aliens?" Gus asks.

"No." Shawn says.

"Alien."

"No."

"Alien: Resurrection."

"Do you, like, only know Alien movies?" Vanessa asks.

"Gus, the one with the holes and Shia LaBeouf." Shawn says.

"They had holes in Shia LaBeouf?" Gus asks.

"No, they dug holes." Vanessa says.

"The holes are in the ground, dude, like that. And Jon Voight was walking around all crazy." Shawn says.

"My kids watch it like 9 times a day." Vanessa says.

"Oh, Anaconda." Gus says.

"You think I would let my kids watch Anaconda? Really?" Vanessa asks.

"I don't know your parenting styles." Gus shrugs.

"Well, it's not letting them watch a 1997 thriller movie about a giant snake." Vanessa says.

"Okay, never mind." Shawn says, walking towards the holes.

"Gorillas in the Mist? Death and the Maiden?" Gus lists.

"No!" Shawn calls back.

"Half Moon Street?" Gus guesses.

"Dude, stop it." Vanessa groans.

"Just let it go." Shawn tells him.

They stop in the middle of the field.

"I'll be damned." Shawn mutters before they hear a gun go off.

"What?! Somebody's shooting at us!" Gus exclaims. They all scream and start running back to the car.

"Oh, God! They're shooting at us!" Shawn yells.
