Mj tried to scream, but venoms thick black tentacle covered her mouth. She tried to move away, watching Venom beat up the lightning man. When the man was down Mj got a good look at his face. It was Max the janitor.

Venom carried her to a fire escape and set her down

"Do not move, I do not want either of them to see you." Venom said and Mj shook her head yes. She peaked down and watch venom get his arms around the electric man. The lighting didn't seem to hurt venom.

"I didn't ask for this! I didn't asked to be made like this and be thrown in a cell. I just want to go home." Max cried as venom squeezed his throat. When he passed out venom went deeper into the alleyway. Mj saw Norman creep out of the shadows taking Max from venom.

Mj watched as Norman carried max out of the alley way and presumably to his car. She stayed silent waiting for Eddie to climb up. She felt the black tentacle wrap around her waist and she cringed as it lifted her up. Bringing her to a roof top.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't have ya gettin in the middle of that ya know?" Eddie's face came out of venom. Forming back into eddie. "Oh and didn't want dr Osborn to see you either."

"Was that Max?" Mj asked.

"Yeah he kinda got all glowy after touching the docs power generator. So Dr Osborn is keeping him in a safe, kinda like the lizard guy. He escaped though so Osborn needed my help calmin him down." Eddie explained. "Also what are you doin out here Mary Jane."

"I was just walking back to my car." Mj said.

"Where's your spider boy?" Eddie asked.

"Swinging. He's had a tough night." Mj explained. They were sitting down on the roof. Chatting like old friends, as if Eddie didn't have venom inside him. As if Mj wasn't just told Max turned into an electorman.

"Oh? Like what?" Eddie asked but Mj rose and eyebrow. "It's not like imma use this information against him. I think it's made it very clear we're my loyalties lie."

"True. His aunt is remarrying. And it upsets him." She said.

"Huh, marriage. My ex fiancé married a guy a year after we broke up." Eddie sighed.

"Wow, that's kinda cold. I'm sorry about that." Mj said.

"It's whatever. That's why I took this job, I took this job so I could make a shit ton of cash so V and I could just run away." Eddie said. "Run away from everything."

"Did she break up with you because of Venom?"

"Nah, she was a lawyer and I looked threw her shit to get a good story for my news paper. I got her fired so she broke up with me."

"I'm sorry." Was all Mj could think to say. It was kinda his fault. But Mj would never break up with Peter if he got her fired somehow. "She must really love that job to break up with her fiancé over it."

"Yeah she did." Eddie sighed.

"Where do your parents live?" Mj asked.

"Parents? Pfff how funny. My mom died giving birth to me and my daddy never forgave me for that."

"Well it wasn't your fault, you were an infant."

"You could try telling him that, but he's dead." Eddie chuckled.

"So no siblings?"

"Nope." He was sitting on the ground, his hands on top of his knees.

"I'm sorry."

"Its okay. We both got daddy issues."

"All three of us. Peter latched on to any older man he can to have some sort of father figure."
