Peter felt horrible leaving Mj like that. She took one second to wipe her eyes. But he knew if he didn't leave now he would never be able too. He believed things would be better if he left.

Everyone close to him was slowly dying. It was like a curse. He infected the lives of his friends and family like some disease. It was only a matter of time before it got to Mj. If anything- it already had. He had hurt her. And now here he was, afraid to even kiss her.

She begged for him to forgive himself but he just couldn't. He lied and said he'd be back eventually. He wasn't planning on it. Maybe that wasn't the best call, she'd spend the rest of her life waiting for him to come back. But right now he thought it was the right thing to say. To make her let him go.

Peter didn't know where to go or what to do. He had no real plan other than leaving his 'Peter Parker' life behind. He was going to be Spider-Man 24/7

His first instinct was to stay with Dr Strange. But he'd be the first person Mj would go to in hopes to find him. So he ruled that out.

His other thought was to continue to pay rent for Aunt May's apartment. She had left him everything in her will. Apparently Aunt May and uncle Ben had started a college fund account for him. He'd have to survive off that for a while. If he was frugal he could get a few years living off of it.

He went to Aunt Mays old apartment after he left Mj- his old keys still worked. It was almost creepy- being in her old apartment. Coffee had been left on the table with her lipstick stain. Dishes in the sink, laundry in the washer. Her last day alive echoed through out the house.

For the next month and a half he lived and breathed Spider-Man. Peter Parker no longer existed- just as he wanted. It was so upsetting when he'd run into Miles during his patrol. But his thought processes was- if Spider-Man was blunt and short with Miles- miles wouldn't want Peter Parker back.

He couldn't help himself though, all his thoughts were consumed by her. He missed waking up with her in the mornings. He missed her laugh, her smile, her frowns. He missed everything. But his existence was too dangerous- he couldn't put her in harms way anymore. She was safe now.

He'd always follow her when she went outside, which wasn't often. Just to make sure. When she would leave the apartment it was never for long and she was always with either Michelle or Miles. She was much safer now. He did his best to make sure she wouldn't be able to see him following her though.

However sometimes he'd give him. He went back to the apartment four times, just to leave flowers on her balcony. He knew how upset he probably made her and hoped the flowers would help ease the pain. For her to know he still loved her. but he also knew he couldn't do this forever. He wanted her to move on eventually. Would he have the strength to send her divorce papers? Could she ever be happy with someone else?

"Could somebody call me Peter Parker before I go insane." Peter frantically whispered to himself as he pulled out his suit from the washer and putting it in the dryer.

He didn't like being out of it, to see what he has become without it. A man slowly descending into insanity. He had been alone for so long. But when he was Spider-Man, people would clap and cheer for him. He couldn't be a poison destroying the lives of his friends if he didn't have any friends.

He looked in the mirror, slicking back his long hair so it could fit in his suit properly. He was naked, not really caring to put clothes on anymore. No one would ever see him without his suit on anyway. He taped news paper across all of the windows.

. He definitely noticed how much bulkier he had become. After swinging around the city 24/7 surely he'd see some muscle gain

The moment the dryer dinged, he frantically put his suit on.
