Chapter 144: I Am...Spider-Man

Y/N's POV

After the explosion I get up and see Thor and Steve fighting against Thanos for the gauntlet.

I rush in to help Cap and Thor with stormbreaker and Mojnir but after a few seconds, he shakes us off and I land on the ground.

After a minute I get on my knees and see Carol get knocked down as Thanos has used the power stone against her.

I turn my attention away from Thanos and see Stephen Strange looking at me.

Doctor Strange then raises up two fingers.

(Imagine strange is holding up two fingers.)

I look over at Tony, and then back at Strange and  he nods at me.

In this moment, no words were said but I knew exactly what Strange meant.

One of us had to die, Tony or me.

I realize now that it can't be Tony. Tony had his happy ending with Pepper. He worked hard for it and now he had it.

My eyes widen as I realize what I have to do.

In this moment I think about what Steve and Natasha told me, I was a hero.

All this time, all these years I've been running away, fighting the guilt when I should have embraced it, I should have allowed it in because that made me a hero because despite all the darkness I still kept a light.

I get up and charge at Thanos and I grab ahold of the gauntlet.

I struggle against him for a moment but manage to get the Stones from the gauntlet.

Thanos then knocks me down.

(Just imagine its Y/N in a broken suit of the one he's wearing.)

Third Person Perspective

After shaking off Y/N, Thanos raises his hand and he looks over at him.

Thanos: Don't you see? I am...Inevitable.
