Pantalone did not say a word as I sleepily entered the kitchen.
Rubbing my eyes I looked up at him and let out a small yawn.
"G-Good morning..." I mumbled looking around.
My vision was still a bit blurry from the sleep but I could see him standing in front of a kettle.
Rubbing the rest of the tiredness from my eyes I took a step forward.
"Pantalone?"
He stood up a little straighter. Clearly not expecting my presence. He turned back his eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Ah good morning." He recomposed himself and gave a soft smile.
"I do apologize I'm not used to having guests..."
I shook my head, "Its alright I figured as much."
The sound of the kettling whistling caused Pantalone to turn back.
"Would you like some tea before we start the day?"
My heart sank.
I had completely forgotten about that...
Sighing I spoke, "Sure lets get this over with."
After we had finished our tea we had headed out right away. Pantalone led the way downtown as I followed silently beside him.
This gave me a bit of time to think.
Nothing had happened after I found him alone in the room. He hadn't noticed me and I didn't dare to make myself known. I took my small glass of milk and had snuck off back to my room.
The first stop for today was actually a restaurant. Pantalone had lent the man money so he could start up his business. At first he had been making his payments fine but over the last few months he's been slowly falling behind. Pantalone being the 'generous' man he is decided to be patient, but nothing has changed. So here we are about to go into a restaurant and collect the money owed.
As we turned down a corner a soothing aroma hit my nose.
I stopped in my tracks and took in a deep breath.
That smelt... really... good...
Pantalone kept going without me and I hurried to catch up. As I caught up the aroma grew stronger.
