Aitana's POV

I felt a pair of lips against mine as I woke up. Blake and I were spending more time at my place lately. Blair and Blake weren't talking much lately. Blair wasn't talking much lately. She communicated with four people: Mapi, Alexia, Lucy, and Mallory.

Everyone else stayed away from her. It been a rough few weeks. That being said I'm just grateful for the success the team has had despite the off field difficulties.

Alexia has had 15 goals in 22 matches so far. Blake had 8 goals in the 23 matches she played. I had 12 goals in 22 matches. Mallory had 14 goals in 21 matches. Patri had 5 goals in 23 matches. Blair had 26 goals in 21 matches. Mapi had 3 goals in 22 matches. So on and so on every one was basically getting goals. The only players who had yet to score a goal was Irene, Ingrid, Ona, Pina, and the goalkeepers. We were comfortably winning every game. We often did in Liga F.

"Ready for the game today?"

"As if we have any reason not to be." Blake smiled as she got out of bed. I was glad to be with Blake. I was glad to be part of a winning team. I was so thankful for everything right now. Yet I wasn't happy.

"Are you okay?" Blake looked at me funny and I nodded. Maybe I was just thinking about Ona too much lately.

"Come on we better get going."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good game ladies." Coach clapped as we finished the game. An easy 4-0 win. I scored today which was nice. Alexia got a brace and Mapi scored on a free kick. Overall it was a good game. Except for one other midfielder who barely played.
Blair had a really really shitty game. She didn't score. She got carded. She barely got any play time. She almost got ejected as well with that card but part of me was happy to see it. Only because she got in trouble for basically fighting a player from the other team who took out Ona. She still cared.
I don't get why she's avoiding Ona at all cost. She obviously wants to be around her. Even if they're not dating they could still be the best friends they were already becoming.
"(Thanks for having my back on the field today.)" Ona mumbled to Blair who just nodded and kept walking to her locker.
Just say something.
Not only did Ona get hurt that day but something about the situation crushed Blair. She cut off basically all contact with Ona and I think it might have hurt her more than the defender. Ona moved on for the most part. Blair couldn't look in the same direction as the defender without being in pain.
She still likes the American midfielder but she accepted that she couldn't be with her. I was glad that Ona was being so mature. Since the older girl couldn't be.
"Your goal today was good."
"Thanks babe." I smiled and began changing.
"I hate seeing the way they are now compared to before." I whispered to Blake and she nodded. It was hard to see.
"Come here." Blake led me away from everyone looking around to see if we were clear from everyone's ears.
"I've been talking to coach about my contract...so did Blair." I sighed knowing where this is going. I don't think they're going to finish the year out.
"If we win Liga F undefeated we get to re-sign for a longer contract."
"WAIT WHAT?!" I whispered yelled as the excitement took over my body. We had seven games left in the season. Seven more games and I could get a full additional year with Blake living here.
"Wait we?" I paused and looked at her.
"Mallory is one and done. Blair wants to stay. We aren't talking much but I no she's nowhere near over Ona." I raised my eyebrows and looked back towards the locker room.
"Tell her to spend some time with her please. They miss each other so much even if its just friends. They need it."
"Yeah...I will. You're right."
"Of course I'm right." I pecked her lips and she smiled pulling me back in again.
"I'm gonna go talk to Blair." She pulled me back in the locker room then pulled her sister out as I walked over to Ona.
"(You did super good in the game today.)"
"(Do you think so?)"
"(Always...what are your plans for tonight?)"
"(Go home and rest.)"
"(Wanna hangout?)"
"(I'm tired...)"
"Hey Aitana can I talk alone with Ona for a moment?" Blair walked up behind me nervously and I nodded. Attagirl.
I gave Ona a small smile before walking back over to Blake. I'm surprised Blair is talking to her again. A few of the other girls went quiet as they saw the two standing in front of each other again.
No one has seen them talk since Patri messed up that day.
"So?"
"She's asking her to talk tonight."
"Good!"
"I really hope things are fixed. I miss good mood Blair. It was so nice."
I nodded as the two talked a little more. We have seven games left in Liga F. Seven more games until Mallory leaves. Seven games and we could keep the twins for much longer. Seven games separated me from keeping Blake by my side.
"Come on let's go talk somewhere more private." Blair stuck out her hand gently holding Ona's and leading her out of the locker room.
"Oh my god they finally looked at each other." Lucy exclaimed dramatically. The whole team was pretty invested into their situation.
"Is Blair apologizing?" Ingrid asked and Blake snapped her head around.
"What exactly would she be apologizing for?" Blake glared at Ingrid and Mapi stood up.
"(Hey hey hey. She didn't mean it like that Blake. She's just trying to see if maybe Blair is going to not avoid or treat Ona like she has been we know how hard the situation has been on both of them.)" Mapi calmed her down.
"Look none of you discuss this with her but there's a chance that our contract is going to be extended. The short time we're here is what was holding Blair back from dating Ona."
"That's amazing but what's the contract waiting on?"
"An undefeated season...just for Liga F. Champions League is a whole other beast but if we can have every point this season our federation agreed to contract us until the end of 2025." Blake explained to them and they all nodded.
"So that's it. We have to win this. For Blair and Ona...and Aitana and Blake. You both deserve your time together." Kiera walked over squeezing my hand.
"We'll win." Alexia told us and walked out of the locker room. These next few weeks will be so stressful.
The pressure is on.
