Blair's POV

"Are you ready?" I smiled as I knocked on Mapi's door. We were going ring shopping today. Due to the fact that I wasn't talking to someone I had to find a fill in.

Mapi and I talked the other night and she decided its time as well. So now Mapi and I were going out together to buy rings. I was going to help her out with choosing the perfect ring for Ingrid while she helped me pick the perfect ring for Ona.

And it had to be perfect.

"(I'm so nervous.)" Mapi looked at me with an unsure look on her face.

"I bet so."

"(Are you not nervous?)"

"No. Ingrid is meant for you Maria. Ona is the one for me." I shrugged not seeing any other future than this one. This is what was meant to be.

"(Well you're right about that I suppose.)"

"I am right." I laughed as I slung an arm around her shoulder leading her back to my car so I could drive her.

"(Do you know exactly what ring Ona wants?)"

"I do. Ona's a simple person, but she's still getting a special ring. I'm just not getting to spend as much on it as I'd like to." I shrugged as we drove into town.

"(And why is that?)"

"Mapi, I'd spend like a few hundred thousand, but that's not Ona. So I'm not going to." I know Ona's not going to want all of that. She never cared about the money I had and I think that she's too humble for that big of ring.

"(I invited Alexia to help me.)"

"What?! I thought we were doing this together!" I faked a gasp as I shook my head at the Barcelona defender. Not that I was opposed to ever seeing Alexia or taking her advice. Once the two of us moved on from sleeping with each other she began to really be that guiding voice I needed.

"(I need our captain.)" Mapi shrugged innocently, but I agreed.

I could keep the smile off of my face as I thought about proposing to Ona. I mean after all of this time and struggle a random spanish defender happens to be the love of my life?

Who would have thought I'd be the one taking a knee either? I figured I'd eventually end up marrying some business guy that my father chose for me.

But no. I'm marrying a girl who is shorter than me and loves to constantly have physical contact yet another thing I hate unless well you know...

"Here we are."

"(I can feel my hands sweating.)" I laughed at Mapi's nerves going into overdrive.

"Stop you're not kneeling now."

"(I am soon!)"

"You're fine. Ingrid's so lucky to spend the rest of her life with you." I glanced over as I put the car in park.

"(And you're lucky to be with Ona.)"

"What she's not lucky to be with me?!"

"(You're lucky she puts up with your bullshit.)"

"I am lucky she deals with me." I giggled as we got out of the car seeing Alexia already waiting on us.

"How are we getting one of these before her?"

"(Would you shut up and go inside.)" Alexia slapped the back of my head agressively.

"Yes mom." I rolled my eyes at the older woman.

"(I'm not in the mood.)" Alexia walked straight in to the engagement ring section.

"(Please tell me you're not going over the top right? Ona-.)" I cut off Alexia and shook my head. Mapi tried her best to muffle a laugh.

"(Alexia, she already said she'd stay normal.)"

"Oh..."

I scanned the case silently as I looked from ring to ring. She's so perfect so the ring has to be as well. I know Ona is a radiant cut kind of girl. The band needed to be simple but not too simple. God I knew I'd overstress this.

"(Have you even figured out how you want to propose to Ona?)" I gave a small nod. I was still fine tuning the details.

"(Keeping it a secret?)"

"For now."

"Okay." Alexia gave a small nod as I continued to intensely look at the rings in front of me.

"(Don't overthink it too much Blair.)" Alexia gently rubbed my shoulder.

"I have to get the perfect ring."

"(She loves you not the ring.)"

I shook her comment away and continued to scan the rings in front of me. I can remember all of the things that happened leading up to this moment.

I wish I could forget all of the distractions that I faced while being with the best human in the world and wonder if maybe there still was someone better out there for me. Ona's so perfect for me. Who could have possibly been better than her?

"(May I ask you something?)" Alexia looked over at the defender as she talked to me.

"(If Mapi was single when you came here what do you two think would have happened? You still look at each other...like...I'm just curious what do you think would happen?)"

"(We would have atleast had sex.)" Mapi answered quickly and I bust out laughing.

"Neither of you are allowed to be at my bachelorette party. Neither!" I shook my head as I stopped. A case over from where I was standing.

That's the one.

That's the ring I'm going to buy for the love of my life so we can spend the rest of my life with her, my happily ever after.

"(Do we have a winner?)" Alexia gave me a soft smile as she pulled me in for a hug.

"(I'm sorry if this sounds wrong, but I'm not even sad that my mom isn't alive still because I've got you Alexia.)" I felt a tear run down my cheek as I looked up at her.

"(You know who is still here? Your sister. Blair she's getting married soon and you're not even talking to her. You and I both know she should be here right now.)" Alexia wiped the tear away from my cheek.

"How am I going to forgive her for that..."
