The sound of the relentless rain seemed determined to flood the city with its unending downpour.

The city's noise was equally persistent. The cacophony of cars, motorcycles, and trains filled the air, blending with the bright lights that illuminated the urban landscape, a testament to the countless people residing within.

Amidst it all, a young girl in a hooded jacket leaped from building to building. Two pairs of guns and a bat were secured around her waist, ready for action.

A monstrous roar pierced the night. She reacted instantly, lifting her bat and dodging the creature's attack with a graceful duck. With a swift, powerful strike, she felled the beast in a single blow.

As the monster collapsed, she holstered her bat, but there was no time to rest. Drawing her guns, she surveyed the area where multiple Honkai Beasts were closing in on her.

As the Honkai Beasts closed in, the girl remained unflinching. With a steely gaze, she assessed her opponents, her movements precise and deliberate.

She fired her guns with remarkable accuracy, each shot finding its mark. The first beast fell, then the second, and soon the air was filled with the sounds of gunfire and the guttural cries of the monsters.

Her agility was unmatched. She danced through the chaos, evading attacks with ease and countering with lethal precision. Each movement was a testament to her training and skill.

In a matter of moments, the ground was littered with the fallen beasts. She stood amidst the carnage, not a single bead of sweat on her brow, her breathing steady and controlled. The rain continued to pour, but she remained unfazed, ready for whatever came next.

"Kiana."

A voice called out. She turned to see a figure emerge from the shadows, clad in a blue jacket, a dark blade with white stripes strapped to his side.

"I think that's enough... we don't want to attract too much attention," Hoshino Wan spoke calmly, his entire body drenched from the relentless rain as he kept his gaze on Kiana Kaslana.

Kiana pulled back her hood, revealing her face. She stared at Wan for a moment, silent, before holstering her guns and slowly walking away.

Wan sighed and followed Kiana, matching her pace.

It had been half a year since the incident—the event that turned everything into chaos.

Now, the world was after them—or rather, after Kiana—as the two of them remained on the run.

"You hungry?" Wan asked, pulling out a piece of bread and splitting it in two. "I managed to get this earlier. You can have some if you want—"

"I'm not," Kiana replied curtly. "Eat all of it if you want, Wan."

Wan remained silent for a moment, his gaze fixed on Kiana. He forced a small smile and asked, "Just 'Wan'? No 'Wan-senpai' anymore?"

Kiana turned to him, her expression heavy with the weight of their circumstances.

Wan's eyes widened slightly, recognizing the same exhaustion reflected in her face. He looked away, his smile fading. "Sorry, just a joke."

Kiana scoffed, turning away before breaking into a run. Wan followed close behind, matching her pace.

To say they were tired was an understatement. Living in the shadows, evading everyone and everything for half a year, was no easy feat. For Kiana, it was especially grueling.

The two ran through the city, leaping from one rooftop to another, occasionally dispatching Honkai Beasts they encountered.

The city was oblivious to their existence, unaware of the deeds they had been carrying out for the past six months.
