It was a quiet night—at least, that’s how it felt for Hoshino Wan. The earlier reactions of his companions were still fresh in his mind, especially when he revealed the truth about his father.

He had forgotten that not everyone knew who his father was; only a select few were aware of his lineage. The surprise etched on Mei and Bronya’s faces said it all.

'Shin... Shin Musashi is your father?!' Mei gasped, disbelief flooding her voice.

'The hero who fought in the dark...' Bronya’s voice trailed off, barely above a whisper. 'Wan Nii-Sama’s father...'

A soft chuckle escaped him as he stood atop a building, leaning against a fence, the city lights twinkling below. He sighed, hoping this revelation wouldn’t alter their relationship. The legacy of Shin Musashi was monumental, and the weight of that lineage could be heavy on his friends’ minds. Still, it wasn’t a secret he planned to keep for long.

Now, he remained silent, waiting for their next move. He had mentioned wanting to take a moment to digest everything, to fully embrace the reality of being back with them.

Earlier, Theresa had confessed her own uncertainties about Musashi’s mastery over his energy.

'I wish I could help, but it’s complicated. Musashi never shared the details of how he controlled his energy. And while his energy was vast, yours is... boundless. How do you expect to fully control an endless supply?'

Wan took a moment to ponder her words. The truth was, controlling something that was infinite felt like an insurmountable task. Unless he was some sort of boundless entity himself, the idea of achieving control seemed utterly unattainable.

His body didn’t feel weak per se, but he could sense his energy rising at an alarming rate. If this kept up, he feared it wouldn’t be long before he reached a breaking point.

He glanced down at his trembling hand. 'I was able to stop the overflow earlier, but if my body can’t handle it…'

The thought sent a chill down his spine. “I’m going to have to resort to ‘Isheae’ again just to purge it.”

Isheae—the form where his energy erupted uncontrollably. He had tapped into it a couple of times: once against the First Herrscher and then during his confrontation with Noah.

In that state, his energy surged forth without restraint, melting anything that came too close. It was a destructive release, a last resort when his body could no longer contain the growing force within him.

The first two instances had been harrowing, but he had managed to pull back just in time, allowing his body to regain control after expelling an excessive amount of energy.

But he couldn’t count on that luck forever.

During his battle with Noah, had he allowed Isheae to persist even a moment longer, he would have faced obliteration—his body would have melted away, taking his very existence with it.

'I need to find a way to harness this immense energy,' he thought, 'without relying on that form as my final option...'

Determined, he began to strategize, hoping to uncover a method that would allow him to tame the relentless power surging within him, so he wouldn’t have to risk everything again.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps. Wan turned around to find a pair of familiar red eyes approaching him. Fujuki Hana walked toward him, her hands tucked into her pockets and a lollipop perched between her lips.

"Hana, what are you doing here?" Wan asked, curiosity piqued.

"The others are discussing plans for Kiana," Hana replied, moving closer. "I walked away as soon as I heard them plotting." She paused, tilting her head slightly. "What about you?"
