Early Arrival

Prompt: you go into labour

You were sat outside your wife's work, she had picked you up from work since you had finally finished for the day and was finally on maternity leave, you worked at the sister nursery of the nursery your wife worked at and just had to run in to give Marjorie something, you rubbed your stomach when you felt a slight kick from inside "mammy will be out in minute" you whisper to your stomach and laughed when you felt another kick in response to your voice, you was currently 38 weeks pregnant and due to give birth in 2 weeks but you and your wife knew that it could happen at anytime moment, after waiting a couple of minute you decided to head into the building to look for her since your back was starting to hurt and wanted to see if walking couple help it slightly. It took 2 attempts before you were out the car and slowly waddled into the building holding your back to support it with the added wait "if she is talking I will be making your mammy sleep on the couch until you are born" you whisper to your bump before wincing when you felt a sharp pain "okay maybe not until your born but tonight she will be" you say and rub where you felt the pain, slowly entering the building you heard some children that were left and due to be picked up and slowly walked to the office, you knew where everything was since you had been in the building multiple times, you was stopped when you heard "Y/N what are you doing here" come from behind and you saw Mia walking towards you "I'm looking for Sorscha, she just had to nip to the office to give Marjorie something but she was taking too long, so I came in to find her but I also need the bathroom since someone is pressing on my bladder" you tell her and aim the last part at your bump which caused the red head to laugh when she saw you talk to your bump.

You looked up again and saw her in front of you "come on, I will help you to the bathroom before letting Sorscha know that you're in the building" the red head says to you before guiding you to the bathroom and walked away when you entered the toilets, you quickly did your business before walking to the sink and washed your hands but as you left to leave the bathroom you felt a pain that you knew wasn't a kick and leant against the doorframe before breathing when it went away, you stood up straight and slowly walked towards the office, you slowly waddled down the corridor before having to stop when another pain hit you 5 minutes later and you put you hand against the wall to support yourself before hearing "Y/N, you okay" come from your sister and since you was in pain and couldn't talk you just turned your head and held your other hand up to tell her to wait a minute but your eyes go wide when you hear water hitting the floor before looking down and see a small puddle of water forming underneath your dress, once the pain as gone you turned to your sister "get Sorscha" you try to say but all you get out is "get So-" before another pain which you realised was a contraction hitting which caused you to slowly sink to the floor and onto your hands and knees, you see your sister rush other to where you are on the floor "breath Y/N/N I'm here" you hear her say but you just ignore her and turn your head hoping your wife was near by and shout "SORSCHA" which made your sister cover her ears at the volume of you shouting "sorry Carly" you tell her and she looks at you "its okay, do you want me to run and get her" she asks you but before you responded you was hit with another contraction "go to the office" you get out before screaming in pain and watched as your little sister ran off to find Sorscha.

You rode out the contraction hoping that Carly wouldn't be long and you looked up when you heard footsteps before sighing when you saw it was Charlotte who hadn't noticed you were there and not your wife but soon you heard fast footsteps and looked past the brunette and saw Sorscha, Carly and Marjorie running down to where you were and watched as Charlotte moved out the way quickly when she heard the footsteps before looking down and saw you on the floor for the first time "babe, I'm so sorry" Sorscha says to you but you couldn't get anything out since another contraction had come which was more worrying since they were coming every couple of minutes, once the contraction had ended you looked up out of breath "you're here that's the main thing, I was in the building not like I was in the car on my own" you get out "thanks Carly" you say to your little sister and saw her smile at you before looking back at your wife "so, I think I might be in labour" you get out with a small chuckle which caused Sorscha to look at you with wide eyes "what, how" she stumbles over her words "Sorscha focus" you say to her because you could tell she was starting to panic slightly "yeah sorry, how far apart are your contraction and have your waters broken" she asked you "contractions are every 4 minutes and yes my waters have broken, can someone help me up" you tell/ask the people who was stood around you which they helped you slowly off the floor and you lean into Sorscha before another contraction hit but this was even stronger and you bit down on her jumper to muffle the screams and moved your hips in a motion you had learnt at the birthing classes you had both gone too and heard "breath babe, like in the classes" come from Sorscha and feel her rub your back to help with the pain.
