AN: this idea came from @Miallottestan newest chapter in her book and I loved it and came up with this, thank you for letting me use your idea and turn it into this Chaos Houdini

Marjorie was sat in the office of the nursery going through paperwork when she heard footsteps running down the corridor of the nursery and she recognised the footsteps as her daughters and she was confused on why she was in the building until she remembered that her daughter had the code to enter the building and was finished for Christmas from her university course for the year and was home for a few weeks which she was excited for, she looked up when she saw her daughter enter the office "hi mama" she heard her daughter greet her as she entered "hi my love, you okay Y/N/N" she greeted back and saw her daughter Y/N sit down in the chair opposite her desk "I'm great mama" she heard you reply which made her smile when she heard you slip into the same dialect like her girlfriend "you've picked up Siobhan's speech pattern" she says to you and saw you smile softly at her "you have been together since I was 10 mama, she has helped you raise me and is practically another parent to me" she heard you explain and she nodded knowing that you were right about her and Siobhan being together for 7 years already and she wanted to ask you about something that she had planned. She leant back into her chair and saw you move slightly in the chair you were sat on before hearing "mama, can I ask you something" come from you and she noticed that you were nervous "what baby girl, is everything okay" she asked and saw you nod slowly "umm" she heard you say and she knew that you were getting more anxious "how about we have this conversation at home" she asked you and saw you nod at her "okay mama" she heard you say and she smiled when she saw you relax slightly "how is university baby girl" she asked trying to change the topic and saw you smile at her "its going really well, I should be finished in 2 months" she heard you say and she was shocked at how fast you had nearly finished the course "but how, you literally just started the course" she asked you "mama, I started university at 15 but did it online until this year, remember photographic memory" she heard you say and she let out a chuckle when she saw you tap your head after speaking "right, forgot about that part" she says with a chuckle before looking at the time and saw she was at the end of her shift.

She arrived home with you in her car and opened the door to the house and let you walk in before her and shut the door behind her as she walked in to the house behind you, she followed you into the living room when she saw you go into the living room and saw you sit on the couch "what did you want to talk to me about baby girl" she asked softly as she walked into the living room and sat down next to you "you know how Siobhan has helped raise me for 7 years" she heard you ask her softly "yeah baby girl what about it" she asked and pulled you into her side "well I know you have been planning to ask her to get married and I only know because I found the ring when I went looking for something and well I see Siobhan as a mum" she heard you explain and she was shocked to know that you knew what she was planning "I'll come back to the other part in a minute but what are you saying baby girl" she asked till shocked slightly "how would you feel if I asked Siobhan to maybe adopt me" she heard you whisper and she was shocked at what she heard. Marjorie sat there in silence letting the information you had told her sink in "mama" she heard you whisper and she turned to face you slightly after hearing you move from her side "baby girl, I just didn't expect you to ask me that" she says to you softly and saw you look down at your lap "but I think she would love that baby girl and I know she will love it because she has told me she see's you as a daughter" she told you with a smile and made you look at her "you don't need to be scared okay, I support you okay baby girl" she tells you with a smile of her own "really mama, you don't mind me asking Siobhan to adopt me" she heard you whisper and she pulled you onto her lap like she used to do when you were a little girl "yes because I know how you feel about her and she is your mum okay no matter what" she whispered to you and played with your hair softly.
