Dancer

Prompt: you are a dancer but nobody at the nursery knows until you invite them to a recital after they asked to come and learn things about you

You sighed when your dance teacher gave you the ticket form for the dance recital what was happening in a few weeks "Y/N you haven't told me how many tickets you need for your guests, you know that each person gets up to ten tickets" your dance teacher says to you which makes you sigh at her "I don't think I need tickets, I have no one to bring" you say with your head down "what about the people you talk about from your work" you heard her ask and you looked at the form "I don't think they would want to come" you told her and saw her smile at you gently "you will never know until you ask them" she tells you and watch as she walks away from you to the front of the class and you quickly put the form in your bag before practice started. You left the studio and was walking home and couldn't wait to have a warm bath to help soothe your sore muscles, you were nearly home when you heard your phone ring and you pulled out your phone and saw it was Sorscha ringing you "hey Sorscha is everything okay" you say down the phone "hey Y/N I have your jumper for you but you're not in, do you want me to leave it somewhere or give it you tomorrow" you heard her say and you had just turned onto your street "I'm just coming down the street now, I'll be two minutes" you say before hanging up and quickly walked down the street and saw Sorscha climbing out her car "hiya Y/N where have you come from" you heard her ask you "just a class I take" you say briefly before taking the item Sorscha handed you and saw it was a jumper you asked for that you left at her house a few days ago and you asked her to give it you when she could "thank you Sorscha" you say before bringing the jumper to your chest "your welcome, so what is the class you take" you heard her ask you "just a dance class, we have a recital in a few weeks" you mumble and look up to see Sorscha looking at you with wide eyes "how come we didn't know you did dance classes" you heard her ask you "I'm not good but I enjoy it, so I don't mention it" you say to her "I better go in and get changed" you say to her "yeah I will see you in work tomorrow, your parents will be wondering where you are" you heard her say "yeah, they will be home soon they are on the way home from work" you explain before walking up the path and mumbled "they haven't been home since they died two years ago" to yourself before walking into the quiet home and went upstairs and got sorted for the night.

You walked into work the next day wearing the jumper that Sorscha gave back to you and headed into the building slightly limping since your feet had blistered slightly from all the dancing you have been doing and from being in pointe shoes for hours sometimes, you entered the office and saw Marjorie and Autumn talking "morning" you say and walk over to sign in and see what room you was working in "morning Y/N" you heard Marjorie say to you "I'll see you both later" you say before turning to leave the office but stopped when you heard "Y/N why are you limping" come from Autumn "I'm fine I have 3 small blisters on my feet" you say to her and smile "that sounds painful, how did you get them" you heard Marjorie and you looked at her before smiling "just from some shoes rubbing my feet" you say and leave the office before they could ask any more questions and headed for the staff room and put your stuff away making sure you dance bag was zipped fully shut so you wouldn't lose anything and headed to the toddler room that you would be working in with Sorscha. Walking into the room slowly you see Sorscha doing an activity with a small group of toddlers and see her look over to you "hiya Y/N" you heard her say and smile at you "hi Sorscha" you say to her and quickly move to do handover with a parent when they arrived to drop their child off, thankfully the morning had gone very quickly and you were on your lunch break and was changing the dressings on your blisters when Autumn walked in to the breakroom, you looked up to see her watching you "what you doing Y/N" you heard her ask and you look down and removed the bandage from you foot after taking off the duct tape that you used to keep everything in place like you do when your in class and heard Autumn gasp when she saw the blister on the sole of your foot "Y/N that isn't a small blister" you heard her say but you quickly put on your second skin gel patches that you had in your bag before putting a new bandage over it before grabbing the duct tape and quickly secured it before doing the same with your blisters on your toes on that same foot. You quickly put your sock back on and repeated the same process with your other foot "Y/N how did you actually get them blisters" you heard Autumn say and you looked up "my shoes rubbed my feet" you say and quickly change the bandages on your other foot and quickly put your sock back on and stood up to make sure they both felt okay before putting your shoes back on "I need to head back to the toddlers since my lunch break is over" you say before leaving a shocked Autumn in the breakroom, you walked back into the room so Sorscha could get her lunch "Sorscha I'm back" you say and see her stand up to leave the room "okay, I'll see you in a bit" you heard her say and see her leave the room.
