Gift Exchange

Prompt: you invite the nursery family around to your home for a Christmas gift exchange

AN: this is day 12 of the December one shot marathon 

Christmas time was your favourite time of year since you could spoil your friends and family when buying them presents, your friends didn't know this but you come from a wealthy family but you didn't see your family since they lived in the United states after they moved one of their companies over there but you ran the England branch for them when you could and your family understands that you want to earn your own money doing what you enjoyed but you liked to know that you had the money there if you need it but mainly you let it just sit there in your bank but when Christmas rolls around you go full out for everyone but made sure to get them things they will like and always got each person a customised gift they is unique to that person. You had finished shopping for your friends that you worked with and had suggested doing a gift exchange evening at you home on the last day of the nursery opening and have your own nursery Christmas before everyone celebrated with their own family and was happy when everyone agreed with your idea, setting the table in your home with enough places for everyone and you have even went out and got name cards made for everyone in their seats with a little note written on each one for each person, after setting the table you checked on the Christmas dinner that you had cooked before walking into the living room and smiled when you saw the piles you had made for each person from the gifts you had bought them but also so that everyone can add to each persons pile with their own gift they had gotten each person.

You had made sure everything was ready before walking to the entrance way when the intercom phone near the door rang to let you know that someone was at your gate "hello" you say after picking it up off the wall "hi Y/N everyone is here" you heard the voice of Marjorie say through the phone and you reached up to press the button that opened the gate "come in, the garage should be open so some of you can park in there" you say before hanging up the phone and moved to open the door to see everyone driving into the long drive way and you knew that the possibility of you being asked about how you could afford everything would be brought up which you didn't mind since it wasn't a secret it was more that you didn't talk openly about it, watching everyone climb out their cars you smiled when you saw them carrying presents in "come in to the warmth everyone" you say to everyone and move out the way slightly to let them in "MARCUS" you shout through the home and see your butler rush over to help your guest "thank you Marcus, after this go home for the holidays I will be fine" you say to him and saw Marcus nod at you "thank you, have a nice holiday everyone" you heard him say before seeing him leave one he had took everyone's coats off them "follow me into the lounge" you say before leading them into the lounge area and heard gasps which was followed by "your home is amazing Y/N" come from Marjorie which made you smile "thank you Marjorie, everyone can place their presents they have brought into the piles on the floor, each person has a pile so its Marjorie, Reece, Autumn, Winter" you say and point to the first 4 piles before continuing "then we have Char, Mia, Carly, Sorscha" you say whilst pointing to the remaining 4 piles before hearing "where should we put the presents we have for you" come from Charlotte which made you point to a random spot "over there" you say to her and see her nod at you before watching each person place their presents in the right piles for the correct person "Y/N are these presents all of you minus the ones we have put down" you heard Autumn ask and you nod at her "yep, I love Christmas since I can spoil my family" you say with a smile before seeing them look at you in shock "don't worry about it, sit down and I will get everyone a drink from the bar" you say before leaving room after getting everyone's drink requests that they wanted. Quickly making everyone's drinks you carry a few through to the lounge and pass them to the correct person before leaving to grab the rest of the drinks and made your way back to the lounge with them and passed them out before sitting down on the chair that was free with your own drink "thank you for inviting us to do this Y/N, I think this is very nice little thing you had planned" you heard Sorscha say from across the room and you nod at her before responding "your very welcome and dinner will be ready shortly" you say and was met with confused looks from everyone "we are doing a full Christmas tonight, I hope you've brought your appetite" you say with a smile and heard the timer ding from the kitchen "one moment" you say before standing up and quickly left the living room to check the dinner, after checking to make sure everything was ready you dished up the vegetables and side dishes into bowls and carried them into the dining room and placed them on the table and after 3 trips all the food was on the table, you made your way into the living room and saw everyone talking before seeing them turn to look at you "dinner is ready if you want to follow me" you say whilst walking over to grab your drink and led everyone to dining room "how long did this take you to do" you heard Mia ask and you saw everyone looking for a seat "each plate has a name card so find your names and sit down" you say before walking to where you had put your own name card near the end of the table but in between Marjorie and Charlotte whilst you put Reece at the head of the table on one end and Winter at the other end of the table with Autumn in between Sorscha and Winter whilst Carly and Mia where next Reece and Charlotte respectively around the table so both males were at the head whilst the women were around the table.
