AN: this one shot is coming from my heart and how I feel, so I hope you enjoy it and you might need tissues you might not so enjoy (my mum is very much alive, i mean the self harm and ed side of things and when people make comments because i have had my weight thrown at me by a customer at my work and it made me spiral)

You slowly walked up the path of the house you had arrived at and knocked on the door before taking a step back and waited for the door to open, you were waiting a couple of minutes and thought the person who lived here wasn't in and was about to leave when the door opened and you saw the person who you needed right now open the door "Y/N what are you doing here, it is 11pm at night" you heard Charlotte ask you softly which made you shuffle on the spot and wring your hands together "I can go if your busy, I just really need to talk to someone" you whisper quietly and looked up at Charlotte who you saw was watching you with worried eyes "is everything okay" you heard her ask and you look back down and just shrugged your shoulders not feeling sure on how to express what is going on but looked up when you heard "come in sweetie" come from Charlotte and you stepped into her home before hearing her shut the door behind you and saw her move to be back in front of you and felt her take your hand softly in her own. Taking your shoes off you let Charlotte guide you into the living room before sitting on the couch and felt her sit next to you "what's going on sweetie" you heard her ask you softly which caused you to let out a sigh and fiddle with your jumper you was wearing but looked up at Charlotte when you felt her lift your chin up slowly "anything you say to me won't be repeated okay" you heard her say to you softly which caused you to relax slightly and nod at her "as you know my mum isn't here anymore" you start to say and see her nod at you "I know sweetie" you hear her say and you took a breath and let it out before continuing "and I really need a mum right now and I was hoping you would be that person right now" you say to her and see her go wide eyed before seeing her smile at you "okay, what do you need me to do" you hear her ask and you shake your head at her "there isn't anything you can do but I just need a listening ear and someone to tell me it is okay" you say quietly and look back down at your hands before pulling something out your jumper pocket slowly and handed it to Charlotte who you felt take what you handed her off you and heard her gasp softly.

Charlotte didn't expect to see you at her door at 11pm at night and she definitely didn't expect to hear you needed a mum right now, she and everyone at the nursery knew you had lost your mum when you were 18 and had only been at the nursery for a year but when they found out your mum had passed away they had helped you with the process and was there for you when you needed someone and over the last 5 years they have all helped you with something that you needed help with and herself and everyone always felt loved when you came to them for something and was touched when you did but Charlotte never expected this to happen. She watched as you pulled something out your jumper pocket and slowly hand it to her which she took from you and looked down and heard herself gasp before she could stop herself "sweetie, where" she asked you softly and quickly put the blade you had given her on the table before turning to you and saw you play with your jumper sleaves "my thighs and hips" she heard you whisper and she knew she had to check them since she was worried that they could be infected "is that everything or was there more" she asked you softly and was starting to get worried and heard you sigh and nod your head at her "yes that's everything or yes there is more sweetie" she asked since she couldn't tell what you were nodding at and got her answer when she heard "there is more" come from you quietly and she nodded slowly "what is it sweetie, you know I would never judge you or anything" she says to you softly and placed a hand on your thigh and felt you stiffen at her touch and she quickly removed her hand from thigh "sorry sweetie" she tells you and saw you nod at her words, sitting in silence for a few seconds Charlotte slowly moved closer to you before asking "can you tell me what else is going on" to you and watched as you shuffled in your seat before hearing "my head is all jumbled, one day I wake up feeling fine and then I start to get overwhelmed by everything, I hate waking up and feeling this loneliness even though I work with the most amazing people" come from you and she could tell you was holding back on stuff and she slowly wrapped her arms around you and brought you into her but was shocked when she could feel your bones through your jumper.
