The Past catches up

Prompt: you bump into your brother after not seeing him for 6 years (you are 34 in this) 

TW: forced marriage, disowning, mentions miscarriage (past) only mention 

AN: I have treated you all today with all these stories 

You walked down the nursery corridor following Charlotte after having a show round at the nursery and was very happy with the nursery that you wanted your son to start at when he was born you were currently 6 months pregnant and knew they had a six month waiting list so wanted to get him on the waiting list as soon as possible "so that is the end of the show round, do you have any question or are you happy to go ahead with getting yourself put on the waiting list" you heard Charlotte ask you and saw her turn to you "I'm happy with going on the waiting list" you say and follow her to a meeting room to fill out the paperwork and get on the waiting list. Leaving the meeting room to leave the building with Charlotte to let you out, you nearly bump into someone and freeze when you heard "I'm so sorry" come from a voice you recognised and you looked at the person and saw it was your brother who you haven't seen in a few years and you quickly turn to Charlotte "thank you for today and I will let myself out" you say before rushing out the building ignoring the questioning looks you were getting from her and quickly drive to your home and rush into your home to find your wife "hi babe, how was the show round" you heard your wife say and you looked at her "it was fine, hasn't changed much since you left and I understand why you didn't want to go but I don't think I can go ahead with that nursery maybe the sister nursery" you get out feeling stressed and see her turn to you "babe, what happened" you heard her ask and you lean against the side and look at her "my brother works there" you say simply and see her jaw drop open "babe I would've never of suggested that nursery if I knew he was there" you heard her say and feel her wrap your arms around you.

It was a few days later and you were currently food shopping with your wife and was currently pushing the cart whilst your wife was grabbing everything when you heard "my love, do we need anything from this aisle" come from behind you which made you go stiff "babe, is everything okay" you heard your wife say and you nodded at her "he is here" you say quietly and pointed behind you where you knew your brother was looking at something on the aisle "do you want to leave this one" you heard her ask but as you go to reply you heard a gasp come from behind you "Y/N is that you" you heard your brother say and you slowly turn around to see your brother looking at you in shock "hi" you say and see him look at your pregnant stomach "sorry but I need to go" you say to him and push the cart from the aisle "Y/N wait" you heard him say and you stopped walking and turned to face him again "can we talk one day, I haven't seen you in 6 years please" you heard him ask you and you looked at him carefully before looking at your wife who shrugged her shoulders "fine, I'll meet you for coffee one day" you say to him and give him your number before leaving "bye Winter" you say to him before moving off the aisle with your wife next to you.

You was sat in the coffee shop with your wife a week later and you only agreed to meet your brother if you could bring your wife and he automatically agreed and asked if he could bring someone and you agreed and was waiting for him to turn up and you heard your wife gasp and saw her looking in the direction of the door and you looked in the same direction and saw your brother walk in with a red headed woman next to him "why did you gasps Mads" you asked your wife and saw her turn to you "that's Autumn, she started a month before I left and she wasn't very nice" you heard her explain and you nodded since you knew what she was going on about and you saw your brother and Autumn walk over to you "thank you for agreeing to meet with me Y/N" you heard Winter say and you just nodded at him and put your hand on your stomach when you felt your son kick from inside you which still felt weird for you to feel. Watching as Winter and Autumn sat down you saw Autumn look at your wife with a confused look before seeing her eyes go wide "Maddison is that you" you heard Autumn say and you saw your wife nod her head "hi Autumn" you heard her greet the woman and you chuckled at your wife's facial expression before turning to Winter when you saw him just staring at you "are you going to speak or not" you say bluntly and saw Autumn glare at you when she heard you talk to Winter "your glare doesn't scare me Autumn" you say to her and see her look surprised that you called her out "babe, calm down" you heard Maddison say and you lean back in your seat and see Winter lean forward in his seat "my love this is my sister Y/N" you heard Winter say to Autumn which caused you to raise an eyebrow at him "wow I know I shouldn't be surprised but not even mentioned me to your partner" you say to him and saw him look down at his feet.
