Prompt: you bump into someone from your past 

AN: this starts of cute then goes a bit sad before a happy ending and just happiness since it is christmas time so no pure sadness from me, so if anyone could if possible can you explain to me and @Jaime_prolific2  how it is possible to work a 9 and half hour shift then come home and bash out 3738 words in 2 hours because we are both confused... 

Growing up you were always in and out the foster care system due to your family not being able to look after you but would always go back to them because they 'proved' they had changed until you were took away again, this continued until you were 17 and finally decided to leave the home for good and with help got yourself emancipated and you were now 19 soon to turn 20 years old and had made a life for yourself and had gotten yourself an apprenticeship at a nursery all the Knight nursery and soon you had become qualified and was now a full time staff member, you had formed relationships with all the staff even if they didn't know about your past but you weren't secretive about it you just didn't talk openly about it because it's not something you like to talk about. Over the three years you have been at the nursery you had become close with the staff but the 2 who you were close with were Charlotte and Mia, Charlotte had took you under her wing when you first started at the nursery and over time they had both become important to you and secretly you felt like they were your parents sometimes because they always check up on you and make sure they you have everything you need, Mia when she is in town takes you shopping sometimes and loves to buy you things but you always stop her since you didn't think you needed anything but your favourite thing to do with them is when they invite you round to their home and have a movie night with them both which you never got growing up as child and without them knowing they had healed your inner child slowly which you loved because they don't baby you but keep you in check and will call you out when they need to if you are being out of line.

You had the day off from work and when Mia found out she had offered to take you out for lunch and to do a bit of shopping which you agreed to since you needed to buy new clothes since some of yours had gone old and definitely needed to be replaced since some of your clothes were your work clothes, you walked out your flat when you got a message from Mia saying she was outside waiting for you and made your way out to her car before climbing into the passenger seat "hi Mia" you greet the red head and smiled at her whilst fastening your seatbelt "hi little one, you ready to shop and eat" you heard her say and you smiled wider when you heard the nickname that Mia had given you "yeah but more excited to spend the day with you though" you say as you felt her drive away from your flat "me too little one, is there anywhere specific you need to go or is just looking and buying" you heard her ask and you nodded at her before speaking "yes I need new work pants and some tops for work since some of mine are old" you explained to the red head and saw her nod as she focused on the road before hearing "we will get them first before grabbing some lunch and then continue shopping" come from Mia and you nodded at her as she drove to the shopping centre. Arriving at the centre you both walked in and made your way to the nearest clothing store to look for new work clothes and you were walking next to Mia when you felt her grab your hand and pull you out the way of someone who wasn't looking where they were walking and nearly walked into you "thank you" you say gratefully to Mia and let her guide you to the store "your welcome little one, don't need you to get trampled" you heard her say with a laugh which made you chuckle with her and walked into the store with Mia, looking around the store you slowly picked out some sweatshirts and tops that you liked but as you looked at the clothes you first the hairs on the back of your neck stand up from the feeling of being watched and you slowly looked around the store but didn't notice anyone staring at you before walking to find Mia and found her looking at shorts "you okay little one" you heard her ask and you nodded at her before holding up what you wanted to buy "I'm done in here I don't see any nice pants" you say to her and saw her nod at you "lets go pay then" you hear her say to you whilst leading you to the checkout and as you walked to the checkout you felt like you were being watched again but quickly shook it off and followed Mia, leaving the store with your bag in hand you stayed close to Mia not liking the feeling of being watched but kept quiet about it since you thought it was just your mind playing tricks "you okay" you heard Mia ask you softly since you were practically glued to her side as you walked down the centre "yeah" you say before bumping into someone "I'm so sorry" you say to the person before looking up and felt the colour drain from your face at seeing the one person you didn't expect to see and didn't want to see before hearing "watch it wench" come from the person and you felt like someone had frozen your body because you couldn't react at all to the comment "don't speak to her like that, she apologised so move along" you heard Mia say and saw the person just ignore Mia before seeing them look at you "I'll speak to her anyway I want but I don't want to speak to this little whore of a daughter anyway" you heard the person who was your biological mother speak and saw her just sneer at you before walking away leaving you frozen with a confused Mia.
