Unexpected Event

Prompt: Unexpected things happens sometime but sometimes they are the best things to happen

Waking up you felt a slight pain going across your stomach, you slowly sat up trying not to wake your husband who was currently sleeping and slowly got out the bed stopping when your husband moved before creeping out the bedroom, you stopped again when you felt another pain going across your stomach and once it had disappeared you slowly walked down the stairs and went into the living room. You moved over to the couch and curled up into a ball hoping the pains would stop eventually you figured it must be your period starting soon since you couldn't figure out what could be causing the pain since you felt fine in yourself, you turned the television on and made sure the volume was turned down so it wouldn't wake your husband up and turned on a random channel and turned to watch it wincing when another pain started but quickly disappeared, you looked at the time on your phone and saw it was 2 o'clock in the morning and grabbed a blanket since it was slightly cold in the living room.

You most of dozed because you are woken up by the worse pain cutting through your stomach and it made you double over in pain making you loose your breath slightly at how bad the pain felt, once the pain faded you slowly stood up and once you stood up you felt like you had peed yourself due to feeling your pants getting wet and you slowly tried to walk towards the stairs but is stopped again at the bottom of the stairs due to another pain hitting you and the bad was bad that you sat down on the stairs "REECE" you screamed for your husband hoping he would hear you scream before groaning when another pain hit and this one made you scream out from it being the worse feeling you have ever felt "REECE HELP" you screamed for him again and this time you heard a thud that was quickly followed by footsteps "Y/N where are you" you heard him call "down here" you get out before doubling over in pain. You looked up at the top of the stairs and saw Reece looking at you with wide eyes and watched him rush down the stairs before bending down to your height "gorgeous what's wrong" he asked you and once you was able to breath you lean into him "I'm having really bad pains in my stomach and it felt like I had wet myself when I stood up, can you help me upstairs please" you ask him and slowly tried to stand up "let me take you to the hospital after we get you changed" he says to you whilst he helped you stand up "okay" you say to him and let him take you upstairs.

Once you had made it upstairs and into the bedroom you had to bend over at the bottom of the bed and groaned in pain before letting out a weird noise "oh-ohohhhh aahh" you get out trying to breath normally but struggled to "babe tell me what you want me to do" you heard Reece ask and you could hear him getting panicky by his voice "ring Autumn and then ring an ambulance I can't move it hurts" you say before bending your knees and lowered yourself to the floor gripping onto the duvet when another wave of pain and knew Autumn would be able to keep Reece calm and to help you "okay, let me go ring for help then ring Aut" he told you and your only just able to nod your head at him and heard him leave the room, you tried to figure out what the pain you was feeling was but the pain was happening every couple of minutes and was getting stronger and lasting longer, you turned your head to see Reece walking back into the room and saw him bend down to your height and brushed your hair back "they are sending an ambulance out but it is snowing and heavy as well so they said it might take them longer, however Autumn is on the way and you know nothing will stop her from getting here" he told you and you just groaned as a response and gripped the duvet tighter when you felt another pain in your stomach, a few seconds later you felt pressure on your back and it felt good and quickly realise that Reece was rubbing the base of your back "don't stop" you moan in relief at him "that helping" he asked you "yeah" you say and just let him carry on rubbing your back.

20 minutes later you were in constant pain and you could tell Reece was starting to panic from seeing you in this much pain, however before he could completely panic you heard the door being knocked on and letting go of his hand so he could answer it, but as he left the room you felt the most intense feeling coming from between your legs and something was telling you to move but you didn't want to without your husband, hearing quick footsteps coming up the stairs you saw Reece enter the room who was followed by your sister in-law Autumn "Reece I need to move" you say before feeling the pressure in between your legs get worse "okay where do you want to move to" he asked you and you just tapped the top of the mattress "Aut can you help me get her on the bed" you heard him ask his sister "yeah" was the reply you heard before feeling both of them help you on the bed, once you were on the bed you rested against the pillows "Reece something is wrong" you whimper out and all you could feel was pressure and it was starting to scare you "Y/N/N can you tell us what your feeling" you heard Autumn say to you and turning your attention to her "pressure in between my legs, it's getting worse" you get out before screaming in pain "TAKE MY PANTS OF NOW" you scream at them which made them both jump and they both removed your pants and once your pants were off you felt a weird sensation it was like pressure and pain all together but also your body was telling you to push with the pressure so you listened to what your body was telling you and bared down with the pressure "Y/N what are you doing" you heard Reece say in a panicky tone but you couldn't respond since you was currently pushing with everything you have and ignored the questions.

Quickly looking up you see Autumn climb on the bed and sat near your feet "keeping going Y/N/N" you hear her say and you reached for Reece's hand to grip since the pain was horrendous "AUTIE IT HURTS" you scream before pushing again "keep going, it will be over soon" you hear her say and you listen to her and just kept on pushing before you heard a gasp come from her and saw her look at Reece but your focus was quickly back to pushing "Reece come look" you heard her say to him and you felt him move but not letting go off your hand and heard him gasp as well "gorgeous keep pushing" you hear him say before feeling him kiss your forehead and with a massive push and scream you felt the pressure disappear and your scream was replaced by a small whimper and cry coming from in between your legs and you slowly sat up and looked to see Autumn holding a baby that was covered in blood and gunky looking stuff and you tried to reach for the baby and Autumn placed the baby on your chest and you broke down crying looking at the tiny newborn "what in the world" you heard Reece whisper before you all heard a knock on the door "I'll get it, Reece you stay here" Autumn told you both and you saw her leave the room and you turned to Reece "how did we not know" you whisper whilst crying and you gently stroked the baby's back before seeing Autumn enter the room followed by two paramedics who quickly moved over to where you were sat on the bed.

You couldn't stop staring at the newborn baby on your chest and let the paramedics do what they needed to do before one of them gently picked up the baby to clean and wrap up "we are going to get you both to the hospital to be checked over fully" one of the paramedic says to you and saw him pass the baby to Reece whilst they helped you get cleaned up and made sure that there was nothing wrong with you. The paramedics quickly got you sorted out and covered before helping you down the stairs and onto the stretcher that was at the bottom of the stairs and wheeled you out to the ambulance and you saw the ground was covered in snow and saw Reece and Autumn walk out the house, you was loaded up into the ambulance and saw Reece climb in to the back with you and gently took the baby of him when he passed you the baby "I'll meet you both at the hospital, I'll ring everyone once you are settled up there" you heard Autumn say and you nodded at her before seeing her walk away to her car and the paramedics closed the doors and quickly set of to the hospital.

You and Reece were settled into a room at the hospital with the baby and you were both in shock at what happened and couldn't stop looking at your newborn daughter which you found out once you had both been thoroughly checked over by the doctors and nurses and you were currently feeding your daughter for the first time, you both found out that sometimes the body doesn't recognise that you are pregnant and have no symptoms or even develop a bump they called it a cryptic pregnancy which shocked you both again knowing you had been pregnant for 9 months and you didn't even know and then you both started to panic knowing you had nothing for a baby and it was currently 2 days before Christmas and you knew Reece would have to brave the last minute Christmas shoppers to get the essentials you needed for your daughter. You were currently burping your daughter when you heard a knock on the door and saw Reece go to open it and saw him smile at whoever was at the door before letting them in and you saw Autumn and Marjorie walk into the room "I only rang Marjorie since I didn't want everyone to bombard you" you heard Autumn say and you gently passed the baby to Reece and when Autumn was closer to the bed you quickly pulled her in for a hug even though she wasn't a big fan of physical touch "thank you" you whisper to her and let her go before seeing a small smile form on her face "I saw that" you whisper to her and saw her look at you "so you both had an exciting night" you heard Marjorie say and saw her stood next to Reece looking at the baby in his eyes "yeah, didn't expect this to happen but our life isn't normal" you say with a chuckle "Reece why don't you introduce Autie and Jorie to our newest member" you say to him and saw him look at his sister and friend with a proud smile on his face "Aut, Marjorie we would like to introduce you to our daughter Adelaide Maria Knight" you hear him say and saw Autumn walk closer to Reece and Marjorie "she is named after two important in people in our lives and also her godmothers" you say to them both and was met with two shocked expressions "we might have not known I was pregnant but we always said when we had a daughter her name was going to be that and well here we are" you explain to both women and smiled when Reece walked back over to you with Adelaide and gently passed her to you, looking at her you gently stroked her head "your so protected little one, you have your auntie Autie the guard dog and your Autie Jorie who is like a protective auntie bear" you whisper to Adelaide and smiled when she just made small noises at you "it was unexpected but I love her so much" you say to Reece and lifted your head to give him a kiss on the lips and felt him sit next to you "me to gorgeous, she is going to be a spoilt little princess" he says which made you chuckle because you knew it was true.
