Ice Skating

Prompt: Ice skating with your parents

AN: This was requested by @Jaime_prolific2 who won the the last 'where the Houdini' game (that isn't part of the game, i will let you know when it is being played) hope you like this, i went Ice skating and came out with a nasty bruise so if you go be careful it hurts. 

You sighed as you looked out at the ice rink before turning to your parents "this is what you want to do as a family activity" you ask them and see them nod at you "yeah, it will be fun" you heard your dad say and see him step on to the ice with your mum following him "come on sweetie" you heard your mum say to you and held her hand out for you, walking on your skates towards the rink you held out your hand to take your mum's before stepping onto the ice and nearly went down "woah" you say and grip your mum's hand tightly as she helped you get steady on the ice "that's it darling" you heard your dad say and you hold your mum's hand as you started to skate but it was more like you were walking slowly instead "sweetie, slide and skate, like Olaf says" you hear your mum say to you which made you laugh at her "if anyone at your work found out you have watched Frozen they wouldn't think your so tough" you say to her and try to do as she says and mumbled "slide and skate" under your breath and soon you loosened your grip on your mum's hand and slowly started to get comfortable on the ice. You made your way round the rink and feel yourself loose balance before catching yourself by holding onto the rail that you were next to and heard a chuckle come from behind you "careful darling" you heard your papa say with a chuckle and you turn to glare at him "just because you can skate doesn't mean it's easy for everyone, I give up" you say and make your way off the ice and onto the benches that were near the side for people to take breaks if they wanted to and sat down with a huff.

Autumn watched as you made your way off the ice and made her way to her husband "my sweet, you didn't have to laugh at her" she says to him when she was next to her and heard him sigh "I didn't mean it in that way, this was meant to be fun for us all but I think I have made her hate it" she heard Winter say softly and she nodded at him "she is scared of getting hurt and being careful and by you laughing has made her anxious about being on the ice, you have to make it up to her" she says to him and see him nod at her words "I know but how" she heard him ask and she smirked at him "fall" she says to him and see him look at her "what" she heard him say and she laughed "make her see its okay to fall, so fall down" she explains and saw him pinch his nose before nodding at her. Autumn skated over to where you were sitting and rested against the barrier "sweetie, come back on the ice, I will hold your hand at all times whilst your on the ice" she says to you and sees you nod at her and watched as you made your way over "you promise" she heard you ask and she nods "I promise and have I ever broken a promise to you" she says and takes hold of your hand as you stepped on the ice "no mama you haven't" she heard you say and she kept hold of your hand and helped you skate by going backwards and held both your hands as you skated slowly.

You skated slowly whilst you kept hold of your mum's hands as she skated backwards and saw your dad skate over to you slowly "I'm sorry darling for laughing" you hear him and you smile at him "it's okay dad" you say to him and focus back on skating with your mums help "there we go sweetie" you heard your mum say as you did a lap with her help without nearly falling and you smile at her words and you looked up just in time to see your dad skate by and you watched as he lost his balance and fall on the ice to his bum and you laughed at him "I'm fine" you heard him say and you burst into laughter with your mum as he got back up "you okay my sweet" you hear your mum ask your dad and see him nod "yeah my love, it happens sometimes" you hear your dad say as he skated over to where you were still laughing "sorry papa, but that was too funny" you say to him and tried to stop your laughter but struggled to "laugh at your poor father falling on his bum" you hear him grumble which made you just laugh even more with your mum chuckling at him. You carried on skating with your mum as your dad was doing laps and you feel yourself fall nearly but was caught by your mum "up we go" you hear her say and you chuckle at her words "slide and skate" you mumble as you got your balance and carried on skating with her help before laughing as your dad fell again "why is he falling so much all of a sudden mama" you ask her as you saw your dad fall again which made you chuckle "he is showing off and him falling is the consequence" you hear your mum explain and you nod at her words "ohh" you say softly and concentrate on skating again. After doing 2 laps you finally felt comfortable to try on your own "mama, can I try on my own but stay close" you say to your mum and see her nod "if you're sure and I will stay close" you hear her say and you let go off her hands and started to skate on your own and went a few feet before loosing your balance and fell to the ice on your bum and heard your mum come over quickly "you okay sweetie" you hear her ask and you nod at her before laughing "yeah mama, I got to comfortable" you say whilst laughing and with her help you get off the ice and with a determined mind you try again on your own and went further then you did last time but noticed your mum was even closer to you "I'm doing it mama" you say excitedly and caught yourself before you fell and continued skating "there you go, it's like watching you walk all again for the first time" you hear her say excitedly and you hear a "that's my girl, look at you go" come from your dad as he skated past you but watched as he crashed into the barrier since he wasn't looking where he was going "you okay papa" you ask him from where you skating and saw your mum go over to help him "I'm fine, I didn't see the barrier" you hear him say and watched as he stood up slowly and you see your mum brush ice off his pants "my sweet, made no more showing off, we don't need a trip to hospital now" you hear your mum say to your dad and saw him nod at her words "yes my love, lets skate together now before our session is over" you hear him say and see them both skate over to you and take hold off one of your hands each so you were in the middle of them both and skated around the rink together.

You were skating just in front of your parents to let them skate together before your session ended and was a few feet in front of them slowly making your way around the rink, over the course of the skating you had slowly felt more comfortable on the ice and had become confident on the ice, you heard the announcement that your session was over and slowly made your way off the ice and just as you stepped of the ice you felt your balance go and felt yourself go down but before you could hit the ice you felt someone catch you and looked up to see your papa had caught you "thank you papa" you say gratefully and felt him place you back on two feet and you stepped of the ice and exited the rink and made your way to the benches to take your skates off "your welcome darling" you hear him say and see him and your mum sit next to you so they can take their own skates off. After taking the skates off and handing them back to the employee and got your own shoes in return you made your way back to the benches but you noticed it felt weird to walk "this feels weird" you say to your parents and heard them laugh "we know it does, the sensation will go away soon" you heard your mum say and you nod at her words and quickly put your own shoes on before following your parents out the ice rink area and over to where there were hot chocolate and hot drinks being sold "let me go get us hot chocolates to warm up slightly" you hear your papa say as you and your mum sat at a table "thank you my sweet" you hear your mum say to your papa and you saw him walk over to the hot chocolate stand before turning back to your mum "thank you for today" you say to her and see her smile at you "you don't have to thank us, we love family days out and your 15 now and soon you won't want to spend time with us" you hear her say and you chuckle at her explanation "that might be true but I will always appreciate days like this, even if papa fell on his bum a few times" you say to her and laugh at the end which made your mum chuckle.

Sitting with your mum you saw your dad carrying three hot chocolates to the table and placed one in front of you and your mum each "thank you papa" you say to him as you wrap your hands around your drink and saw him sit next to your mum "your welcome darling" you hear him say and you take a sip of the hot drink and feel it warm you up from the inside, you slowly drink your drink and look over to your parents "so papa, did mama make you fall a few times or something" you ask with a smirk towards them and see them look at you in shock "how did you figure it out" you hear your mum ask and you smirk at them both "I'm your daughter mama, I figured it out after papa fell the third time, he went from being stable to falling very quickly and he only fell when I came back on the ice" you explain and hear a chuckle come from your mum "you caught us, however that last fall your papa did was totally him" you hear your mum say to you once she had stopped laughing and you chuckle at your papa who was grumbling under his breath "you are going to be sore tomorrow papa, but thank you" you say to him softly and see him look up at you "what for" you hear him say and you roll your eyes at him. Looking at your papa you smile at him widely "you made me realise it's okay to fall and to get back up to keep going instead of giving up, without you falling even if mama asked you too it made me relax and have fun" you say to him and see him smile at you softly "well I'm glad my sore behind has helped you" you hear him say to you softly which made you chuckle at his words "just ice it later" you say to him and heard your mum laugh at your words. You was sat drinking your drink and watched your parents softly talk to each other and you knew they were what you wanted in the distant future at some point and didn't realise you had started to day dream but jumped when you felt a hand on your shoulder "sorry sweetie, you were in your own world then" you hear your mum say to you and feel her take your empty cup from you "sorry mama, did you want something" you say to her and see her smile and feel her ruffle your hair "its fine, I was asking if you were done with your drink" you hear her ask and you nod at her "ohh yes I'm done, thank you" you say and let her take your cup from you and watched as she put all your cups in the bin and turn to you and your papa "lets go walk around for a bit before going home" you hear her say and you jump up and take hold of her hand even if you were 15 and saw your papa stand up slowly and heard him groan which made you chuckle before seeing him walk over to you and your mum "lets go" you hear your papa say and you walk with your mum and for the rest of the day you laugh and joke around with your parents and wind your papa up by reminding him of his crash he did on the rink which made your mum laugh and your papa to grumble under his breath.
