I've been sitting in my room and staying home almost every night since Mike left, not that I did anything more when Mike was here but I still wanted something else to do.
No sooner than my feet hit the grass, I was scooped up.
"Jayme Brooks! I missed you so much!" the tall person yelled while I was strung over his shoulder.
"Austin Carlile. PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled/giggled. I was so happy he was here because he was probably one of my favorite people to be around.
"I probably should." He chuckled and set me down just soon enough for me to latch onto him like a monkey to a banana tree.
"Wait, are you all here?" I said excitedly with hopeful eyes. He frowned a little though.
"No, Phil is the only one not here. He's sick and wanted to stay home but told me to say hi for him." he said with a slightly sad face but smiled again. I shrugged and glanced around to see who else was here. My backyard was beyond full and people were starting to wonder into my house.
I saw a familiar beard and shaggy head of hair that I missed so damn much. I instantly smiled brightly and told Austin I would be back around to say hey to the rest of the guys as I walked off to see what my two friends were up to.
"Well, well, well. Look who it is." I stood in my kitchen smirking at the boys as they made their drinks.
"Well, well, well. Look who hasn't taken a shot with us yet." Danny smiled and I grabbed my shot glasses. He poured out three shots of Tequila and we knocked them back letting the fierce liquid scorch our throats ever so slightly.
"So, what have you guys been up to? Also, why are you in Cali?" I laughed lightly and filled my half empty cup up again. We talked about them and their new album that they were writing and what I was doing and a little about what was going on with Mike but I cut that off before I got too angry and sad about it.
I soon left them to wonder around to talk to everyone else here. I knew most people but there were a good handful of people that I had seen before but didn't know until tonight when I was introduced to them.
I was on my fifth drink and I was running a good buzz until my phone rang and I saw Jaime's name again. I walked to the front of my house where it was quiet and answered.
"Jay, I know I hung up earlier without telling you much but now I have time to explain it." he sighed and I knew it was seriously this time because I could hear the stress and sadness in his voice.
"Look, Mike and Vic were screaming at the top of their lungs at each other a couple nights ago and, well, as far as Tony and I know it was about you. They won't tell us anything and they won't talk to each other and we thought they would by now but it has only gotten worse." This time I sighed and sucked down half of my drink.
"Tomorrow, I really need you to call one or both of them and sort it out because it's affecting the stage show and we don't know what to do anymore." I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths before I spoke.
"I'll call them in the morning and figure it out. I'll make it okay, I promise. Even if that means coming to the next couple shows and straighten it out in person." He chuckled a little and that made me smile.
We didn't say anything and that was okay but I had a sudden burst of anger. They really let a fight get to them so much that it affects their show? That is the only thing they have to do almost perfect every night and their just gonna throw that away?!
"Can you email me your schedule for the next few weeks? Just so I have it." I said bitterly biting me tongue.
"Sure! I'll do that right now. How are you anyways? Are you okay?" He said and I could hear him typing away at his computer.
"I've had some better days. Josh came to visit for a little while and he thought it would be a good idea to have a party to help me relax and be around all of my friends tonight so there's that." I chuckled as I heard people singing an Aerosmith song in my backyard.
"Well that was nice of him. Tell everyone I say hi." I could hear the hesitation in his voice as he continued to type.
"Will do." I sighed. Jayme, WHERE ARE YOU? Someone yelled from my backyard.
"Hey, Himes, I have to get going. I'll call you tomorrow, I know it's probably late wherever you are."
"Okay. yeah, I should probably be getting some sleep soon. I just sent you the whole schedule for the rest of this leg of the tour." he sighed. I wanted to stay on the phone with him because I'm sure he's probably bored of talking to the same people every day but I had to go.
We said our goodbyes and hung up. I walked through my front door making a much stronger drink as I passed through to the backyard.
I saw a few people already passed out on the grass near the side of my house which made me chuckle and feel a little less mad at my boyfriend and his brother but I was still pretty livid.
I wondered round aimlessly talking to all of my friends and making drinks until I finally blacked out and all I remember is being put into my bed and someone getting in with me, just talking. I couldn't make out what exactly they were saying or who it was but I do remember yelling at them to make sure Mittens was in his cage so he wouldn't run out of my room before passing out.
