Anthony POV

Jim: Slow..slow!" he yelled as I stood on the hill of the bridge..

Standing in the morning's cold air, it was offly cold this particular morning as a bunch of giant street lights and a crane hung over the lake.

Standing with my winter coat on, I did my best to stay warm as I looked down at my watch.

6:15AM.

Looking up from my watch, I watched as officers swarmed the area where Mia Jordan's car disappeared..

After the debacle yesterday evening at the station, Tate had ordered the search and seizure of this lake like Jordan and Jim should have done weeks ago.

Divers with masks and diving suits stood on the edge of the lake as they waited for the say so to dive in.

Watching as they prepared the area just in case, I glanced over at Jordan as he stood the farthest away.

With his hands tucked in his pocket, Jim, Officer Taylor and Miller stood next to him as he barely moved.

??: Ready!" someone called as I paid back attention.

It was one of the divers as he had his flippers on ready to jump. Waiting for Tate to give the okay, Tate nodded as he and two other men dove down.

Mia was not my wife, she was more of friend if anything and the way my heart was beating was crazy.

It was almost like I was watching one of them movies where a valued character was being found dead, however I was in it.

From the amount people that came out today to see if Mia Jordan was in this lake, I hated how as a man I was nervous and anxious like a fucking woman.

Turning away from the lake, I gazed my eyes around and up at the bridge as I stopped. Approaching with his black winter coat on, her smaller figure appeared next to him as they stared down at us.

Burning their stares into Jordan, the rest of them appeared as Jordan looked up at them.

Glaring them down, Trey did not crack a smile as his face was hidden behind his winter jacket. The fur around the hoodie was propped up behind him like a lion's mane as Megan stood just like him.

Wearing the same winter coat, she too had her mouth covered and her hands in her pocket as the only thing you could see were her eyes.

Vixen-like and daring, her eyes cut like daggers as her, Trey, Bleu, Kollin, Marcellious, Chase and Waylon stood on that bridge like they were above us all.

Cutting his eyes at me, I grit my jaw before turning back to the lake. Staring at the spot where the divers dove down, bubbles began to emerge as one of them popped back.
