Jordan POV

Jim: Open it!" he yelled as I stood on the gate...

Watching as the officers sent down there singled out a giant metal crate..

They unhinged and broke the metal chain keeping it close as we watched carefully.

Untangling the heavy chain from around the handles of the crate, they let it drop to the ground before wiggling the door loose.

Getting it undone, four officers pried the door open.

Cracking the rusty hinges, they used their strength as the wet mud from this morning's rain created an uneasy resistance.

Pulling against it, the darkness of the create began to show through the crack of the door handles as the smell of death crept out..

Scrunching my nose in disgust and stomach churning defeat, I plugged it with my thumb and pointer finger as they got it opened all of the way.

Moving out of the way for the inspectors, they went inside with their suits as we waited for the confirmation..

Standing in what had to be the most awkward and sad silence, a voice shouted out as Jim stepped forward.

Jim: What is it?" he yelled back as I stiffened.

Inspector:..It's her." he said back as I dropped my head in defeat.

Staying where I was, I picked my head up as the people from the coroner prepared themselves to go down there and get her.

Unpacking their gurney, they rolled down from the street and over the muddy path before picking it up and carrying it the rest of the way.

Approaching the entrance of the giant crate container, they went inside to collect Karlie Reddington.

Jim: A shame.." his voice mumbled next to me as I didn't say anything.

Jim: How'd you know to come here again?" he asked as I looked at him.

Me: I already told you." I snipped.

Me: The person asked to remain anonymous."

Jim: Please." he scoffed.

Jim: Whoever told you clearly knows more then they let on."

Me: And if they do so what? What we need will come out when it's supposed to." I said as he shook his head.

Jim: You know it's not that simple." he said as I smirked.

Me: Nothing in this city ever is." I said lowly as I turned back to them escorting Karlie out.

With her body placed into the black duffle bag they carry victims in, I gritted my teeth as they left the top part of the bag unzipped for us to see.

Gearing my weak stomach up, I stepped down into the muddy path with Jim to follow as I stuffed my hands in my pocket.

Approaching the dead body, I gritted my teeth instantly at the smell and sight of her.

Off an immediate glance you could tell she had been here for a while..

Decaying and getting eating by nature's insects, the paleness of her skin looked like she had been soaking in water for too long as I forced myself not to throw up.

Taking in what I could, I notice the deep bruising around her neck as that was all I could handle.

Turning away from her..the baby bump zipped up under the duffel bag stood out as I took a step back.
