"Drop the photo" a voice said as he froze on the spot. He looked over to see Artemis glaring at him with fire in her eyes. "Photo dropped" he said quickly placing the photo on a shelf and putting his hands behind his back. "I shoved you in here so Ollie wouldn't beat your ass not for you to snoop around in my personal business" she spat as he gave heft a small nod. "What happened?" He asked curiously as he walked over to her.
"What do you mean?" She asked looking up at him. "You and your family looked so happy then. What happened?" He asked as she looked away pained from the memories. "Its like they always say 'power goes to peoples heads' and that's what happened to my father" she whispered before turning around. He watched her walk back into the room as he followed her. "Its funny because he used to be so nice to Jade and I" she said with a sad laugh.
He felt bad for her but he let her continue talking. "He did bad things yes but he was always putting us first. Then my mom went to prison and as the Leader of the Mafia he was gaining more power. It all spiraled down hill from there; mom came home and they argued so he shot her in the back. Jade and I were mortified so we ran to her room and hid under the bed" she said as a few tears streamed down her cheeks. "I'm going to my mom's grave tomorrow" she said wiping her tears and looking at him.
"I'll come if you want for comfort" he said as she gave him a small nod. "Yeah that would be nice" she whispered giving him a small smile. He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a warm hug. Her stomach flipped and her cheeks turned a bright red. He let go of her and she walked to her bed and fell on it face first. "You can go now it stopped raining" she said as the sun was beginning to set. He nodded and before he left he made sure to pat her head.
She sat up and began fanning her face to try and make the blush go away. "So how was your secret rendezvous with the guy who broke your heart?" Roy asked with a smirk as he walked into her room. "Why are you so nosy!" She spat as he smirked. "Because its fun to get dirt on you to tell Ollie" he said as she raised an eyebrow. "I could tell him about that girl they sneaks into the Mansion every night" she said with a sigh. His cheeks flushed a bright red. "How do you know?" He asked curiously.
"Because she climbed into my room one night and walked out my door to your room" she said flatly to the red head. "Do you know who she is?" He asked as his heart was beating a mile a minute. "No it was dark" she said as he let out a relieved sigh. "Now get out before I tell Ollie because he'll be way more angry at you for sneaking a girl in to bang every night instead of me talking to Wally today" she said crossing her arms as he sent her a sharp glare.
"You've won this round Crock" he said before leaving her bedroom.

They walked out of the theater after the movie. "What's your rating on it Kal?" She asked as they walked hand in hand down the sidewalk. "It was okay but they could've used a bit more action" he said as she rolled her eyes. "Kal it's a Chick Flick not a James Bond movie" she said flatly as they walked passed an ice cream parlor. "Come on let's get some ice cream!" She said excitedly as she dragged him into the shop. They ordered and he refused to let her pay.
"You're such a gentleman" she said with a smirk. "A man should always treat his lady as his Queen" he said as her cheeks flushed a bright red. "Awe now I wouldn't say that I'm a Queen" Roquette said still blushing. "You're my Queen" he said as they finished their ice creams and arrived at her house. They sat on the couch and she snuggled into his side. "Did you hear anything from our friends today my love?" He asked as she shrugged and checked her phone.
Many texts were spammed onto her phone. "Well Zatanna and Dick aren't going to school tomorrow for reasons he'll tell us later. Artemis and Wally are friends again but I'm still going to kick his punk ass for hurting her in the first place. Megan was texting me that her and Conner were studying but I think she fell asleep" she finished as he gave her a nod and kissed the top of her head. His phone began buzzing as he excused himself.
He talked for a while and walked back in to see her fast asleep on the couch. Being the nice boyfriend he is he picked her up and carried her to bed. Tucking her in he kissed the top of her head. "Have sweet dreams my love" he whispered before leaving the house and heading home.

He looked over and saw Zatanna sobbing quietly. "Hey Zee are you okay?" He asked in a soft voice as he brushed the hair from her eyes. "I'm sorry if I woke up" she sniffled out as he wiped her tears. Sitting up he pulled her into a tight hug as he whispered comforting things into her ear. "Zee I will never let anyone hurt you ever again" he whispered as she nodded into his chest. Running his fingers through her messy ebony hair she sniffled.
"I love you so much Zee it hurts to see you so upset" he whispered as she looked up at him with teary eyes. "I love you too" she sniffled out as he wiped her tears with his thumb. "Do you know what he said to me?" She sniffled out as he gave her a confused look. "What did he say?" He said now sounding really concerned. "He said that if I'm dating you that I must be good" she sobbed out as he pulled her closer. "Zee I had the hugest crush on you before asking you out. You're smart, a badass, snarky and your beautiful" he whispered as she nodded.
"Thanks" she whispered as she wiped her stray tears with her hand. "Can we watch a movie?" She asked as he gave her a small nod. Turning her TV on he flipped through the movie channel. "I know this is your favourite" he said with a soft smile as he played the Disney movie. She fell asleep eventually snuggled against him as she breathed softly. He fell asleep with his head resting on hers. Zatara walked in quietly and gave a soft smile.
"My little girls growing up" he whispered before shutting the door and heading back to his room. Her eyes fluttered open as the sunlight cascaded through her window and onto her bed. Her head was lying on his chest as she listened to his heart beat softly. "Hey Dick" she whispered looking up at his sleeping face. He didn't stir which made her smirk to see how much of a heavy sleeper he was. "Robin?" She asked as his eyes fluttered open.
"So you respond to Robin huh? I should call you that more often" she said with a wink as he gave her a soft smile. A yawn escaped his lips as he placed a kiss on the top of her head. "You're so beautiful" he said breathlessly as she blushed a bright red. "I just woke up I probably look like I crawled out of a dumpster" she giggled out as a small smile graced her lips. "You'll always be beautiful to me my magician"
