Merry Christmas

Tobin POV

"Alright, is everything in place for tonight?" I said to my friends.
"You're good to go Tobs." Ash said. I nodded.
"Our worried about seeing Cindy?" Kelley asked.
"Terrified."
"You'll be fine, you got Alex there, your soon to be girlfriend." Kelley sent me a wink and all my friends oohed.
"So when's Alex getting here?" JJ asked. I heard the door open and she called for me.
"Right now." I said as I got up.
"Hey babe." She said when she saw me walking towards her.
"Hey." I smiled as she kissed me.
"What time's the party?" She asked.
"Seven o'clock."
She took my hand and checked my watch, "Alright, then I've got about an hour before I wanna start getting ready." I smiled at her and watched her walk and sit in the couch with my friends.
"So what're you wearing tonight?" I asked as I closed the front door that she absentmindedly left open.
"You're favorite." She gave me an innocent smile.
"Oh, nothing?" I asked, my back still turned to everyone. I heard her laugh as my friends faked gags.
"Ok, you aren't the only two people here!" Kelley said.
"Ok, so then it's your second favorite." Alex giggled. I sat down next to her.
"Hmm," I pretended to think, "That long, strapless, red, silk dress with the deep cut down your back, that stops right before your-"
"Ok we get it!" Ash cut me off.
"That's the one." She whispered in my ear.
For a while we all talked and laughed and joked around. Eventually Alex had to get ready, and we did too. The company had us wearing black suit pants and jackets, white dress shirts, red and gold socks and shiny red pencil ties. They also gave all of us a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes with the red soles, as a Christmas present of course. I finished getting dressed first, and as a goof, I took out my contacts and decided to wear black glasses instead. I went to sit down and right when I leaned back I heard someone yell.
"Tobin! Don't sit down you'll ruin your suit!" How did Alex know me so well. I laughed to myself and decided to walk around the small house. My friends finished soon after me. We stood in the kitchen talking to each other. I checked my watch. 6:30.
"Tobs should we get going soon?" JJ asked.
"We're alright, plus if we're a little late what are they gunna do, fire us?" I gave her a testing smirk and she smiled. We kept talking with each other, we could talk for hours. Ash brought out a few beers and we'd dat on stools around the table. I checked my watch. 7:00.
"Hey Lex, you almost ready?" I asked knocking on the door.
"I'm almost ready!" She called. I sat back down and we kinda sat there in an unamused silence. We were all pretty bored. Ash started tapping on the table, and JJ started tapping some pots with a wooden spoon. I smiled at them, I knew what they were doing.
"Well I'm bored as hell." Kelley picked up a guitar and started to strum. I let them play it out for a while before I stood up and started to sing.

She's tried on everything

At this, Alex finally came out of my room. As promised she wore that red silk dress. Her hair was tied back in some kind of bun. There seemed to be glitter or beads or something in her hair because I swear I saw specks of silver among her golden locks. She wore a ruby necklace that hung at just the right length on her chest. Her makeup was done beautifully, not too much, but just enough to enhance her already gorgeous features. I got one look at her and my jaw dropped. She noticed this and laughed at my reaction. I smiled and started walking towards her.

Alex and I did what would be considered a fast paced slow dance to the song as we laughed.

We exchanged some knowing smirks at this line.

Alex rested her forehead in mine and I smiled at her.

We all laughed at what had just happened and Alex pulled me in for a slow kiss.
"Hey, not to break up this party," Kelley said, "but there's kinda a party, for our jobs I might add, that we had to be at 30 minutes ago." She gave a small laugh afterwords.
"Yeah we should probably get going." I said. We all piled into my car and I drove us there. We ran up the steps of the building to the top floor where the party was being held. My friends buttoned out suit jackets and Alex fixed her hair before we walked in. We got scolded a few times by our representatives. I saw Cindy across the room. I immediately felt u comfortable. Alex noticed because she put a hand on my shoulder.
"Babe," she said, "I know you're upset, but she's still your mom, maybe you should talk to her." I have her a weird look. She shrugged her shoulders.
"Maybe, but, not now." I said.
"I'd now like to invite Youthful Exuberance up here to sing a song for us!" One of the company employees said. We walked up and dang some Christmas songs, Jingle Bell Rock, Let It Snow, and Sleigh Ride. We tanked the audience and then returned to each other. I have Kelley a look, to signify the plan was a go.
"Hey Alex, could you help me with something?" She said. Before Alex could answer Kelley whisked her away.
"Alright it's go time people!" I yelled as soon as they were out of the room. Everyone knew what to do. They moved the tables and chairs, turns off the over head lights, and turned in the Christmas lights I'd set up before. Some guys took a Christmas tree out from a closet. I jokingly put in some reindeer antlers. Someone handed me two cups of hot chocolate. We were ready. I took my place in the archway and waited. I heard the door swing open.
"Kelley what's going on?" Alex asked. I heard her walking towards me. She gasped when she saw me.
"Missing something?" I said, handing her the hot chocolate.
"What are you doing?" She laughed. "Oh and nice head wear." She laughed some more.
"Well there's something I wanna ask you." I said. I toon her hands and pressed our bodies against each other.
"Alex Morgan, I fucked up a lot with you, but I intend to put an end to that. So, if you'll give me a second chance, I wanna ask you, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. She gave me a small giggle before putting her hands behind my neck.
"Yes you idiot." She pulled me into a hug and the entire flier applauded.
"Oh." I said pulling back, "I believe you owe me a kiss." I said pointing up to a mistletoe above us. She smirked and leaned up to kiss me. It was slow, long, passionate, and full of love. Everyone clapped again, but it was all drowned out. Because everything I ever wanted, or needed, was in my arms.
