Tobin POV
I felt someone hitting me in the back and someone calling my name.
"Toby. Tobs. Tobin. Wake up!" I rolled over to see Alex sitting up. She was now four months pregnant. Her stomach more prominent, she held her hands in her back, stabilizing herself.
"What's up babe?" I asked groggily, rubbing my eyes and propping myself up on my elbow.
"I'm hungry." She said.
"Alright," I sat up, "what do ya want?" I yawned out.
"Ok, it's weird, so don't-" I cut her off.
"Lex do we have to do this every time? You're pregnant. I know what you want is gunna be weird. It's alright. Hell, I usually end up eating some of it." I said. I saw her smile at this, which made me smile.
"Ok then, could you please go get me some chocolate ice cream, bananas, tuna, and some crackers with Swiss cheese?" She asked.
"Sure." I kissed the top of her head and and went into the closet to throw on a hoodie and glasses.
"I'll be back, call me if anything happens or you need anything else." She nodded as I went to walk out the door.
"I love you!" She called. I smiled and ran back from the door. I hovered over her before kissing her on the lips.
"I love you too." I said.
I got in my car and drove to the 24 hour grocery store. I walked in and grabbed a basket as I hopped on a skateboard I brought along. As I rode through the store I thought back to how Alex and I rode through the supermarket on our first "date"
"Hey Tobin! How's Alex?" One of the cashiers asked me. Lately I've been coming here a lot in the middle of the night to get stuff for Alex. I rode over to the cashier and popped the board up, catching it in my hand.
"Good good good. Her and the babies are all healthy and happy, and that's all I want." I said.
"Aww, you're such a good wife, and soon to be mother!" She said. I smiled at her. We made conversation for a minute or so more before I said I had to go grab all the stuff. As I made my say through the store I stopped to talk to the guys behind the deli, the produce and dairy restockers, everyone. I always found it important to do things like that. Ever since we started becoming famous I alway said you get so you can give. When I finished I went back to the cashier and made small talk as she rang me up. I drove back home, looking at all the familiar surroundings. I parked in the side of the apartment complex and walked up to steps and opened the door.
"Lex?" I called.
"Kitchen!" She said.
I walked in to see her on her toes struggling to reach a glass. I put the bags down and walked over to her.
"Hey hey hey, remember you gotta take it easy. Can't have you or those little buggers getting hurt." I said as I liked her stomach. She smiled at me and thanked me as I handed her the glass.
We sat down at the table and I got us some water. She started eating her crackers and I occasionally had one. No words were said, we sat in comfortable silence, just staring at the wall in front of us.
"Tobin?" She said. I nodded for her to continue.
"Why are you so good to me?" She said. I leaned over and kissed her.
"Because I love you. So much." I sat back down and continued eating. We sat in silence eating Alex's weird food and holding hands.AN
