Alex POV
"You're married to Tobin Heath right?"
"Is she like constantly playing music around the house?"
"Do you get free concert tickets?" Hands around the room shot up with questions. I'd asked the kids if they wanted to know anything about me.
"Guys, you know you're asking questions about me, not my wife, right?" I asked. They calmed down a bit and asked a few questions. Things were going smooth until there was a knock at the door. Before I could get there, all the kids screamed. I walked over to the door but it was already being opened. Standing on the other side was none other than Tobin with a plastic bag in hand. She looked around the room confused by the kids and turned to me.
"You forgot lunch." She said with a smile. I smiled back and took the bag.
"Maybe I did it on purpose so you'd have to come see me." I whispered with a smile.
"Yeah that's what I thought," she said, "but I didn't wanna embarrass you in front of your class." She laughed.
"Thank you." I said leaning in and kissing her. The class screamed again.
"Alright alright." She said trying to calm them down. She took her sunglasses from the top of her head and perished them on her nose as she turned to leave.
"Oh, can you please make sure you feed Tillie?" I asked.
"Yeah, I gotta clean the guest room for your mom, and then I'm going to get the band and head to the studio." I nodded.
"Wait! You're recording new music?" I kid yelled from the back.
"Uh, yeah." Tobin laughed. The class erupted.
"But the new issue of People Magazine just did a story on you and didn't say anything about new music." A girl in front said.
"Don't listen to the tabloids kids, they're all lies." She laughed, as did I.
"And we're always recording new music, this just happens to be for a new album." She said.
"Oh what's it called?" A kid yelled.
"Uh, it's gunna be called Morning Mayhem." She responded.
"Oh is it one of those albums that tells a story?" A girl asked.
"Um kinda," Tobin said, I could tell she was starting to get a bit overwhelmed at the unrelenting kids, "it's about my life, life growing up, with my mother and my father, and high school, and meeting Alex, and my life now."
"Can we hear it?"
"Play for us!"
"Guys, Tobin has gotta get home." I said turning to her.
"Yeah, and trust me Alex- or, Mrs. Heath, sorry, has to hear me play enough for all of you." She laughed. I shot her a glare for the slip up.
The class moaned and groaned. I could see I'd probably lose this battle.
"Alright! She can play ONE song." I said holding up a finger. They cheered and yelled.
"But we have to be quiet, or the principle will come down here." Tobin ran out to her car to grab a guitar. When she came back I leaned to whisper in her ear.
"No loud angry songs, please just don't rile them up." I said. She smiled and nodded as she strummed a chord.
"Alright guys, so this is a song I wrote about your teacher Mrs. Heath over here. It's about when we first started dating back when we were in high school a million years ago." She said as the kids laughed. She started to lightly strum her guitar as I took a seat on the desk. You are the one girl
And you know that it's true
I'm feeling younger
Every time that I'm alone with youWe were sitting in a parked car
Stealing kisses in the front yard
We got questions we should not ask butShe got up and started to walk towards me.
How would you feel, if I told you I loved you?
It's just something that I want to do
I'll be taking my time, spending my life
Falling deeper in love with you
So tell me that you love me tooShe sat opposite me on the desk
In the summer, as the lilacs bloom
Love flows deeper than the river
Every moment that I spend with you
We were sat upon our best friend's roof
I had both of my arms round you
Watching the sunrise replace the moonHow would you feel, if I told you I loved you?
It's just something that I want to do
I'll be taking my time, spending my life
Falling deeper in love with you
So tell me that you love me tooI could see the kids watching us with huge smiles
We were sitting in a parked car
Stealing kisses in the front yard
We got questions we shouldn't ask butHow would you feel, if I told you I loved you?
It's just something that I want to do
I'll be taking my time, spending my life
Falling deeper in love with you
So tell me that you love me too
Tell me that you love me too
Tell me that you love me tooShe finished and the kids applauded. I grabbed Tobin's arm and started to take her out of the room.
"Wait! Can we hear another song?" A kid asked.
"Some other time, Tobin's gotta get home." I mumbled out. She started to speak but I took her out of the room and shit the door.
"Lex what was that-" I cut her off by pushing her against the wall. I locked my lips with hers, taking her by surprise. I held her shoulders back until the relaxed and her hands fell to my waist. I pulled back and saw she was obviously dazed.
"Um, not that I didn't love that, but what was it for?" She asked with a light laugh.
"Mm," I said letting my hands rest in her shoulders, "that song was sooooo, sweet. And it just reminded me how I love you so so much, and how much I miss you when we're apart for more than an hour, and how sweet, but strong you are, and how you can be adorable, and so sexy at the same time." I whispered to her. She smiled and kissed me.
"Lex I love this, but keep it down, can't have you getting fired in your first day." She said. We both laughed.
"Ok, you get home and do those chores, and I promise I'll repay you later tonight." I said biting my lip. She smiled.
"Mm, yes ma'am." She said. We leaned in and shared one more long kiss before she had to leave. I fixed my hair and walked back into the classroom.
"Can Tobin come back?" One of the kids asked.
"I'm sure she will," I smiled, butting a finger to my lip, "I tend to forget my lunch a lot." I said.
