Tobin POV

"And...nothing?" Ash asked.
"Nothing. Zero. Zip. Nadda. It's crazy. And it's been three days, this is probably the last chance. If this doesn't work, we'd have to get the dude to sign another form, which was hard enough the first time. And it would cost so much more." I said as the band sat down at a table in a restaurant a few miles from the recording studio. It was a little hole in the wall place not many people knew about. We ordered drinks and I slumped down.
"Jeez Tobs, this is really killing you." Kelley asked.
"Well yeah, Alex has been dreaming about this, and so have I. I don't wanna watch it fall through." I said. They looked around at each other, visibly sad. I felt bad for bringing them down so I sat up.
"Alright cmon guys. Enough of the pity party. Let's hear some good news." I said.
"Well ever since that night at the club, I've been talking to Alex's friend Hope, she's cool." Kelley said.
"Hey nice, maybe I'll talk to Alex, have her nudge Hope a bit closer." I joked. She swallowed her drink and pointed a finger at me.
"I swear to god Heath, you interfere in my love life, and I will end yours." She said. We all laughed.
"What about you J?" I asked.
"Well you know how last weekend I went to see my sister? Well she told me how recently she's been painting. And at first I thought ok, big deal. But then she had me try it. Let me tell ya, it's so therapeutic. I've never felt better." She sighed with a smile. We all nodded our heads.
"And what about you shark?" I asked Ash. She looked between the three of us.
"Ok guys. I got news. Big news. World tour news. Not-gunna-believe-me news." She said.
"Alright Ash, spill it." Kelley said. She took a deep breath and reached into her pocket. She pulled out a small black box and put it on the table. We all looked at it, then each other, then her.
"You're kidding." I said. She smiled and shook her head.
"Na, we've been together for a while, I really really love her, and, I really really love, only her." She said. We all looked at her and congratulated her.
"Look at that, Ash's growing up." JJ said.
"Well, two down two to go." I smirked. Kelley and JJ rolled their eyes.
"So let's see it." JJ said. Ash opened the box and we all gawked over it.
"Woah it's beautiful Ash."
"Wow, must've cost a fortune dude!"
"My diamond was bigger." I joked. Ash looked over to me and bumped me with her shoulder. We all laughed.
"So when are you gunna propose?" I asked.
"In the next couple of weeks. I'm gunna take her to that beautiful garden over in Plumsted, I'm setting up a picnic, she loves them, and then, when the stars come out, and we're laying in the garden, I'll ask her." She said.
"Dude. That was beautiful." JJ said.
"I can't believe you." I sighed.
"Hell, I wanna marry you!" Kelley said. We all fell silent for a second.
"Too far Kelley." I said. We all laughed. We ate and after a while we all decided to go home.
"Hey babe." I said as I opened the door.
"How was lunch?" She asked getting up to hug me.
"Oh it was great, guess what?" I asked.
"What?" She smiled.
"Ash is gunna propose." I said. Her mouth fell open.
"Shut up!" She said. I nodded.
"No she isn't! You're joking." She said.
"My reaction exactly." I laughed.
"That's amazing." She said hugging me.
"Hey, I've got a surprise for you." She said as she pulled back.
"I took a pregnancy test while you were gone." She said.
"What'd it say?" I asked.
"I don't know, it's not done, I jut took it. So, I guess we just wait." She said. An uncomfortable silence fell. We moved around the house carefully. We barely spoke and did anything to Joe us occupied.
"Tobin." Alex called from the bathroom. I was on the couch watching tv.
"Yeah Lex?" I called from the living room.
"C'mere." She said a little quieter. I got up and walked into the bathroom.
"What's up?" I put a hand on the top of the door frame and the other on her back. She couldn't speak. So, she just handed me the pregnancy test. I gave gave her a confused look and took it. I looked it over and my eyes widened a bit. She looked back up at me.

"...and, and this isn't a joke?" I croaked out.
She shook her head, "No Tobs, I'm pregnant!" She said excitedly but quietly.
"You're pregnant?" I swear she heard my excitement.
"I'm pregnant!" She said louder.
"You're pregnant!" I picked her up and spun her around. She wrapped my arms around my neck and started to cry.
"We're pregnant!" She whispered in her ear.
