Alex POV

I woke up to the sounds of a guitar. The sun was coming through Tobin's windows and her back was turned to me. The sun seemed to make her glow. Through her white tee shirt I could see her toned back and arm muscles. I smiled to myself. I watched her pluck a few strings and shake her head. Then she plucked one and nodded. She played a few notes before nodding to herself and marking something in her notebook she used for songs. Sometimes when she's asleep or busy I'll read through the notebook. I know it's probably an invasion of privacy, but there's so many beautiful songs in there that I know she doesn't plan on publishing, and I hate seeing them go to waste. She wrote something else down and started to play again. It sounded light and happy. I saw a smile creep across her lips as she quietly started to sing.

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

She swung her head back and forth to the rhythm.

Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces

I could hear her smiling when she sang.

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting

I couldn't see her face, but I knew Tobin well enough to know she was smirking

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right

"I think that's my favorite one." I said. She turned around to look at me.
"Hey Lex, when did you get up?" She asked leaning down to kiss me.
"A little before you started playing." I said.
"Can I tell you something?" I asked. She nodded her head.
"You're adorable." I kissed her as I got up to go to the kitchen. She followed me soon after.
"So when are you gunna show the company that song?" I asked.
"Not going to." She responded.
"Tobin. Why not? It's a great song." I said.
"Well, thank you, but that's not a song for the band. Sometimes I just like to write songs for me." She shrugged her shoulders. I looked at her for a long minute, trying to guess what she was thinking. Her mind was so exquisite, I desperately wanted to know my way around it. I wanted to be able to navigate the hallways in her brain, and if I got lost along the way, it wouldn't be the worst thing. They way her mind worked baffled me.
"You ok Lex?" I shook my sled out of the trance.
"But Tobin, you have so many great songs that you haven't showed the band." I said.
"How do you know about those?" She put her hands on the counter. I started fumbling.
"Did you read my notebook?" She said.
"I-I-I..." I couldn't speak.
"Just answer me Lex."
"Yeah, I did." I hung my head, waiting for het to be mad.
"I was wondering when you'd find it." She said. My head shot up.
"What?" I asked.
"I was wondering when you'd finally find it and look through it. I wanted you to see them, but I also thought it be weird just giving it to you, since most of, is not all, the songs are about you." She laughed to herself.
"So, you wanted me to read it?" I asked. She nodded her head.
"You're crazy, you know that?" I said throwing a dish towel at her.
"Hey, I'd drive myself crazy if I wasn't a little crazy." She said. I turned to face her.
"Again, crazy."

AN
Hey guys, so this chapter is ass, I know. But I hate school because it ruins everything and leaves me in a creativity drought and sucks the life out of me. Fun huh? But I wanted to put something out, so hopefully my writing improves by the weekend.
Luv ya guys, ✌🏼️-out
