Ch. 47

It had been a few days and we were supposed to take the twins home, so they could meet Dana. We drove back to the house and went inside. "Dana, sweetie!" I yelled. Dana rushed down the stairs and ran into Ty's arms. "Mama, Dada! Miss ou!!" She yelled, placing a sloppy, wet kiss on Ty's cheek. "Baby girl, do you want to meet your sisters? They've been dying to meet you, I'm sure." I said as I sat down and Ty placed the car seats down next to me. I picked up Cathy and Ty picked up Madison. Dana looked at me, then looked down at Cathy, then at me, then at Cathy, and then at me again. "No, no, don' wan' baby." She said, starting to tear up. I quickly but carefully and gently handed Cathy to Ty, who put them in their bassinets in our bedroom which was right next to the living room. I picked Dana up and cuddled her in my arms. "Baby, don't cry, it's okay." I said. "Mama and Dada still love you just as much, the babies are just here to share the love. When they get a bit older, you can play with them, dress them, brush their hair, sing to them, read to them, feed them, bathe them, change them, put them to sleep, and so many more big-girl-like things. You can be Mama and Dada's big helper." I explained in an attempt to comfort Dana. I called Ty into the room with the babies, and she warmed up to them super quickly.
