Cathy's POV
I was cooking breakfast one morning when Alex came into the room. "Hey baby!" She greeted happily. Stephanie's second birthday was coming up the following day, and we were gonna have a party with the whole family, at my parents' house. Alex, the boys, Stephanie and I spent the day preparing for the party, to make sure nothing would go wrong.

Time Skip to the following day
Cathy's POV
That morning, Alex and I woke up bright and early. We first prepared the cake, since we both believed it'd probably be freshest if we made it now other than the day before. Then we prepared some of the food ahead of time so cooking the meals was easier and faster. A bit after that, the smell of cake and dinner cooking woke Gate and Pres up, so Alex put on Friends for them on the TV so there wouldn't be any distractions while we worked. But of course, Stephanie woke up a half hour earlier. One of the unfortunate things about raising the kids was that the never tried to call us Mom or Mama or Mommy, or anything. We didn't push them though, knowing they'd do it on their own time. We were ecstatic when we found out Stephanie's time was now. I went upstairs to her room to get her when I heard her crying and whining through the baby monitor. "Hi baby," I said to Stephanie. "Hi mama," she said, touching my lips lightly with her little baby finger. My eyes went wide with shock!!! "Yay, baby! I'm Mama!!" I cheered. She giggled.
Time Skip to later that day at the party
Cathy's POV
The party was going well. Everyone was enjoying the food, the music, the guests, the games, the atmosphere, everything. It was truly an amazing party for an even more amazing girl. Until....
