Time Skip a weekend
Cathy's POV
The kids had gone off to school that Monday with zero complaints, and I was pretty certain that it was because of their present they had received over the weekend. I sent Gaten to school and he had a big smile on his face. That all changed a few hours later when he came home from school. Donna was coming to our house after school as usual, so they both got off the bus together. Gaten was crying and Donna was rubbing his back, trying to console him. I didn't know what was going on, so I just pulled him into my arms for a comforting hug, and the 3 of us walked back to the house to talk. We got to the house and Gaten still hadn't calmed down, so I spoke to Donna instead. "What happened to him?" I asked worriedly, in a hushed whisper so Gaten, Who was laying on the couch, wouldn't hear. "He told our friends in school about the IRL concert and meet & greet, and some of the popular boys heard and teased him. They called him gay, and a loser, and some other not nice things. They even tripped him every chance they got and he hit his chin real hard on the concrete outside during recess," she explained. I was absolutely shocked, and angry. I called Alex, and she was angry too. We decided to confront the school for allowing our son to be bullied.
