Cathy's POV
It had been a month, and everyday this month I was visiting Alex in the hospital. She hadn't yet awoken from her coma, but the doctor said her brain was healing and her body was making progress. She said she didn't know when, but she definitely expected Alex to wake up, and soon. I was visiting her one day, telling her about my day as usual, when she began to stir. I was holding her hands when she did, and she lightly squeezed it. "Hi, baby! You're awake?" I asked happily. "I'm awake, yeah, but-but," she began. "But what baby?" I asked, trying not to push her too hard. "Who are you?"
