Cathy's POV

One day, I came home from school like normal, but I was immediately handed my packed overnight bag and rushed to the car. We all piled into our car and drove down to the animal hospital. Apparently, moms dog, Leo, was sick in the hospital. Leo had lived a lot longer than anyone expected anyway so it was only a matter of time before he got sick. When we got to the hospital, we waited for about 2 hours to hear what was going on, and when we got no word, we decided to pack up and go home for the night, to my moms parents place. Then, just as we were walking out, the vet came in and called us back. Us kids sat down and waited for a while, until Mom and Dad came back. Dad, chuckling, explained that Leo was showing signs of sickness from missing his old partner who he hadn't seen in a while. She gave him lots of attention, and when she left, he still had attention from the family, but he felt he didn't have enough or as much, so he embellish signs of sickness. (A/N: don't @ me if this is true or not it works with the story trust me). We got back in contact with Leo's partner's owner, who ended up being Alex's aunt. She agreed to let us bring Leo over to see his old friend.

Cathy's POV

I was sitting on my couch playing video games one day, when Alex called, asking to come over. I, of course, said yes and she said she'd be over in an hour. I got ready and went to wait for her outside. She smiled at me, as she walked to the door. She waved with one hand, but in the other hand, she had a crate covered by a small breatheable fabric. We went inside, and she said she had a gift for me. "What is it?" I asked. "Open the crate," she smiled. I did and pulled out a small, fluffy puppy. "Aww, he-wait" I said I looked at the dogs, underside. "Yep, he's, so cutee!" I said cheerily. She laughed. "You're such a goofball," she said. I smiled and kissed her, thanked her for my puppy, and we played with him, teaching him manners and tricks all day long.
