Alex's POV

Cathy had gotten a job a few days after the initial interview and meeting with the police, so she wasn't able to attend the next meeting. Gaten had to be in school, but he wasn't really extremely needed in this specific meeting anyway, so it was fine. I just went on my own. I got there a bit early, but Joe, Ross, Ted and Jason were waiting for me and were perfectly fine with taking me in early. We walked into the room, and sat down. Ted and Ross explained the legal side of things first. "So to begin, unfortunately there isn't too much we can clock these kids on because they didn't say anything that was a direct except one or two threats, which we will take seriously and will hold them accountable for. They have no right speaking to a child like that, even if they are children themselves. So, realistically and unfortunately, all we can really do is sue them for those few messages and say that they are legitimate death threats. So speaking from an optimistic and legal point of view, we can sue them for those messages. However speaking on a more realistic, legal, and slightly more pessimistic point of view, I'm not sure how much we can do other than that and we won't know the jury or judges responses, obviously, so it might not work out in our favor, being that they are underage. But, I do suggest we go through with it anyway, because we won't know till we try and let's be honest, none of us see this stopping anytime soon. So, I say we do it, but obviously it's up to you and your fiancé. The ball is in your court." He explained. I nodded and he continued. "Something else we have to account for is the fact that these kids, victim and bullies, are all underaged kids. I know we can bust them, but it may not be the kids specifically that we're gonna clock, it'll most likely be the parents, but obviously the kids have to be held responsible to some extent because its their words and their phones and computers, and their threats, but the parents bought the phones and computers, and they thought them the words that made up the threats. So I think that clears it up for today, but we'll continue to have meetings everyday until the trial in 2 months." I smiled and nodded, and said goodbye to all of them.
