Ch. 99

(A/N: this isn't a second part necessarily but it is a continuation of ch. 98, it's basically taking place right after school)

Time Skip to the end of the day

Cathy's POV

Throughout the day, Stephanie and I stayed home and played outside for the most part, only really going inside for food, to use the bathroom, and to put Steph down for her nap. Alex had gone to work, a local movie theater where she worked as an usher. Around halfway through the day, I got a call from the school. It was Gaten on the other line and at first I thought he was upset and wanted to go home, but I let him speak first. He said that he met a friend at school and asked if she could come home after school. "Mommy, her name is Donna, and she's really nice and funny and cool. Can she come over please?" He asked. I said yes, and later on after school, when Stephanie and I went to get the boys off the bus, sure enough, Gaten and his new little friend were right there together. I was very happy to see that he made a friend, he was always a very shy kid who didn't make friends easily and he was so worried about school and friends but it all worked out like I knew it would. By the time the boys got home, Alex had also gotten home. We walked to the house and got inside. As soon as we did, Gaten introduced us to Donna. "Mommy, Mama, Pres, Steph, this is Donna. Donna these are my moms and this is my brother Preston and my sister Stephanie." He said. Donna smiled a very friendly smile and shook all of our hands. "Hi, I'm Donna, it's very nice to meet you all." The kids went outside to play basketball, they eventually did their homework and then I ordered a pizza for dinner, all in all it was a great night and Donna was a great girl.
