Time Skip 1 year

Cathy's POV

Alex and I had decided to wait 2 years to get married, so we'd have time to plan out the perfect wedding, and we'd have so much time that we could make sure there was no room for anything to go wrong. Over the past year, we ended up buying a studio apartment together and I was inside waiting for her to get home and doing some online schoolwork when she suddenly rushed through the door. Her hand was jammed into her coat pocket, as if she was trying to hide it from me. I went over to her and greeted her with a kiss. "Baby, can I see your hand?" I asked. She hesitated, but eventually slowly nodded and reluctantly took her hand out of the pocket and put it in mine. Her pointer finger was covered in a white bandage. "What happened baby?" I gasped in concern. "Nothing, I was cutting fruit for breakfast and it clipped my finger, so I cleaned it and wrapped it up, that's all." She explained quickly. I still wasn't buying it. I slowly and carefully unwrapped the bandage and I saw a small infinity sign with the word 'Cathy' wrapped around it. I looked at her with tears in my eyes, so she explained. "I've loved you forever, Cathy, and I will continue to love you always. For infinity." She said. I quickly brought her into a hug and cried into her neck. "Ugh, you're so sweet and cute and amazing, I love you." I said. "I love you too my baby." She said. A week later, I got the same tattoo on the same finger, but with 'Alex' wrapped around the infinity sign instead of 'Cathy'.
