Cathy's POV

I was dropping Preston off to school one day when I realized, he hadn't made many friends in the 2 1/2 years he'd been living with us. He had hung out and played with kids in school but never anyone he considered a friend like Gaten had with Donna, Angela and Hayes. This worried me quite a bit so before I took him into the school, I looked at him and made sure to tell him how I was feeling. "Pres, how about today you focus a bit more on making friends, yeah? Remember to still focus on your schoolwork, but also to make some more friends. You know, Gate has people to hang out with and I want you to as well. Try, okay?" I asked him. He nodded. "Kay mama, I will." I smiled and we got out of the car and I walked him into the school, hoping maybe he'd come back home later having a friend.

Time Skip a few hours

Cathy's POV

I went to go pick up the kids after school, and when I got to Preston's school to pick him up, he got into the car smiling ear to ear. I chucked a bit. "What's up, bud?" I asked. "I made three whole friends Mommy!" He said happily. "Oh yeah? That's great, what are they like?" I asked curiously. "Well, there's Casey who's a boy, he's super nice and good at sports and all the girls like him, then there's Joey, he's the smart one who doesn't really have too many friends, then there's this really pretty girl named Jackie, she's really nice and funny and likes comics, she likes to make her own too!" He said. I saw him blush a bit when he talked about Jackie and that made me laugh a bit. "Well, I'm glad you have friends and you're happy with 'em, kiddo, that's great news!"
