Ch. 87

Time Skip 12 hours

Cathy's POV

During the ride, Alex was driving and I was sitting next to her with our dog, Nugget, in my lap. Nugget was getting old, but he was still an amazing dog, just as he had been when Alex first gave him to
Me. We got to the campground, and drove to our specific site, went inside with our stuff and our dog, unpacked and went to bed.

Time Skip to the next day

Alex's POV

The next day I woke up before Cathy. I kissed her on the head and got out of bed to get ready. After I did my daily look routine (skin, hair, body) I made breakfast. I made a home made açaí bowl, one for me and one for Cathy. I filled nugget's food and water bowl, then sat down to eat. A few minutes later, I felt a kiss being placed on my cheek, and Cathy sat down next to me. "Good morning baby," she said. "Good morning, my bride to be," I said back, smiling. I loved the idea of becoming her wife. We ate and talked, then Cathy got ready as I planned our day, and a few short hours later, we were going for a hike/walk around the campground. We didn't wanna waste our time in the cabin, since Ty and Lauren were nice enough to let us borrow it for the week. We walked around, observing and taking in the beautiful scene of wildlife around us. Toward the end of our walk, we ran into a little girl, who seemed to be about a year old, crouched down picking flowers. After watching her a minute, two little boys came over to her. One seemed around 8 and the other seemed about 3-4, maybe even 5. The boys looked distressed, and they were trying to hurry the girl along. It seemed like she was their baby sister. "Excuse me, boys, do you three need any help?" I asked them. "Yeah," the oldest boy answered. "What's up? Maybe we can help." I said, pointing between Cathy and I. "Okay," the boy answered shyly. "My name is Gaten, this is preston, and this is our baby sister, Stephanie." The oldest boy said, pointing to himself, then the second boy,'and then the girl. He explained that he was lost and couldn't find his cabin. Cathy and I helped the three kids along, and when we got to their cabin, the mom was so pleased and grateful, she asked us to dinner the following day.
